How to scan your Toyota Corolla 2003-2008 Model using OBD II Scanner. Please note that version 1.5 will work on these models and Version 2.0 will not communicate with the car ECU and you cannot scan using 2.0 OBD II Scanners.
Is your Corolla a Japanese import model? I have a Toyota Caldina (with 3S-GTE) from 2004 as well and a regular ELM327 (like the one you showed) doesn't work with it. Apparently I've heard that the older JDM Toyotas from early 2000s uses an older OBD standard (or even a proprietary JOBD protocol) not not 2.0 I've been thinking of getting the 1.5 scanner like the one you have
My Corolla is Pakistan made. I added the following string to connect to ECU. It will only work in Torque application. Install Torque Pro application, you can find cracked version easily. in the advanced Settings add this commend. Hi, great video, I just deleted my question because I thought you said "version 1.51" (because the video automatic translation said so), but when I listen carefully, you really said "version 1.5". But before I deleted it you answered "Only Konnwei OBD and those who are having PIC18f25k80 IC will work."" [ just in case someone needs this information ]. Thanks for answering. I got another questions if you don't mind: Did you figure out what's the protocol of that car, or what does that PIC18f25k80 IC has that it works with the car while others don't?
@@janovewaldner1 Dear, i tried and tested may be 7 or 8 obd adapters and those who had that IC worked. Use the custom string for corolla also, without that it won't work.
Hey do you have Facebook or any social media? Mine doesnt work with the blue elm327 v1.5, and with the black elm327 doesnt work too, i already boughted the Konnweii KW902 v1.5 to test, mine is 1zz fe 1.8 manual 2003/04, hope it works

Good video. I the same Konnwei adapter the only difference is the colour, but it can't connect on my Japanese Domestic Car (JDM) Allion, Vit, Axio etc... Where can I find the version number?
@@SyedAliPT Thanks, I managed to connect after adding a string under the advanced options. I have noticed that the accelerator dial in the app isn't changing regardless of how I drive.
No idea brother. See internet and try to find which OBD port is in Santro and which version of OBD scanner is most suitable. There are two versions mainly 1.5 and 2.0. Chose after searching. Stay Blessed !
@@SyedAliPT I bought the same from ali express (for my Corolla SE Saloon 2004 Automatic) ... cost 2800PKR ... version 1.5 after watching your video ... but its not working ... do we have to change any settings in torque app prior to connecting ?
