Good video. This is what I need, my speedometer is broken, and this head up display can display RPM, speed in number, the over speed alarm,fatigue driving alarm function is also attractive.Anyway, I love it.

Good review esp given the windshield pads I've seen were rubbish. In a country where I received a ticket for exceeding the speed by 4kph this is what I'm after. Nice review and not a stupid gadget checking babble!

Many people criticize why you would need this unit if they are only monitoring tach and speed. I like to monitor engines temperatures and voltages in my sports cars so this would be more useful for me

I lost my user's manual and if I remember correctly you can even erase engine codes, those causing the check engine light to turn on.

.I purchased this unit because I thought it gave an alarm when exceeding a set speed. This unit works on the obd2 plug, not GPS signals. I live in a city that has Police swarming all over the place... (near Ferguson Missouri). I want a unit that warns me that I am exceeding the speed limit so I don't get a $200 dollar speeding ticket. Some people think this kind of device is of little value, but THAT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE. I live in a city with police swarming all over the place. This unit DOES have switchable for DIRECT VIEWING or HUD display. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I only get a blinking LED when exceeding speed. The LED is useless because it is too small to notice. However, it is nice to have the speed displayed closer to my windshield. I don't have to look down as much or as long to interpret the analog speedometer. So it will help me a little bit, but I sure wish my unit gave me AUDIBLE beeps when exceeding the set speeds. If anyone knows how to set the AUDIBLE speed beeper, please reply to my comment. Thanks.

I FOUND MY MANUAL... and the buzzer can be turned on or off by pressing LEFT for 5 seconds. Press RIGHT to reset engine fault codes... or press DOWN 5 seconds to enter SETTINGS menu. I think I am going to like this unit because it just has a few display items. Other units have bigger displays and more information, but I just see it as distracting. I really only need the speed alarm and the MPH display. I wish my garmin gave an audible alarm instead of just turning the little square RED when I exceed the speed limit. Next time I buy a GPS, I will be sure to get one that gives an AUDIBLE ALARM.

How accurate is the reading of the speed. I live in a country where there are speeding cameras. that means if you exceed the limit by 1 KM it will fine you. Im looking for something very accurate and with no lag.

I need to buy this unit for the purpose of speed limit audioable alarm, so I've two questions: 1. In my city, the speed limits is not fixed, the limit in some roads is 60 and in others is 80,90,100 and 120. So I want to know can I change the max speed seeting easily while I'm driving? 2. If I turned on the 4 stage speed alarm in menu 3, will it turn off the single speed alarm in menu 4?

Can it be called HUD if it’s not projecting on your windshield? Can it be called HUD if it can’t be adjusted to appear at a distance in front of your vehicle?

In addition, the cable is an eye sore and obstructive. More people are using the OBD-II port for insurance saving widgets, so this OBD-II plug/adaptor without a piggyback capability, it won't be very useful for even more people.

my old 05 Buick Park Avenue has factory HUD and to tell you the truth I love it' I don't have to worry about looking down at the dash" now when I'm driving a vehicle without this option it's strange I real safer with my head up display' my wipers are even automatic... lol with moist sensors, I don't even have to worry about even touching the switch

Will it work on a '99 Ford? It has obd2 but I read it may not work on some older vehicles, regardless.

Yes it will work on vehicles built in N America after 1996. However, what data you see will depend on what the manufacturer made available to be seen on the data port.

You may have missed a step here when reviewing this product. This product was made specifically not to project the readings on the windshield. The only option to avoid this is to place the unit where you have in the video ( middle and or on top of your dash) any other place will result in a projection/reflection. Try it ....ul know what i mean. Avoid this product
