Love it. How does the storage lands build counters as it's the untap step not upkeep that give them counters. Looking to see if you build Felix and if you do i hope you add the meme of putting all 5 boots in the deck to make a mini game to equip him with them all (Zephyr, Trailblazer, swiftfoot, winged, and lavaspur boots)
Thanks! Glad you liked it! You have to look at the Oracle wording of the storage lands. This is the trigger that works with Obeka: "At the beginning of your upkeep, if Bottomless Vault is tapped, put a storage counter on it." You can untap them in your untap step, tap it for mana in your precombat main phase, then when Obeka gives you a ton of upkeep steps, they'll get counters if they were tapped.
I like the concept but whenever I look at your decklists I always find it lacking a little with removal (non board wipe, although counters do count), ramp and draw :/
Glad you liked it! This deck has 7 card advantage effects, 7 nonland pieces of mana acceleration, and 10 interaction effects. These are more than plenty since there're also sources for these effects within the contraptions.
My first read of the commander was a translation that omitted the extra upkeep for each damage dealt. So getting several upkeep definitely makes Obeka a lot more interesting to build around! But Gate to the Aether caught my attention for this deck
Ooh! That's a great card!! Even better if you can do something like phase it out after you take all your extra upkeeps so only you make the most of it.
