Oberheim OB-X8 - Just A Little Tune (no talking) 

As much as I like the OB-X8, and this is a nice demo… there is nothing here you couldn’t do with a very affordable setup, provided you have a good Mac/PC and good VSTs… If it’s the music you’re after, you can do it now :) If it’s the instrument you are after… then yes, it’s expensive and you need to start saving :) Cheers!

@@vincewizz8534 I pretty much agree. Yes, you can get these sounds with VSTs. However, it isn't as inspiring to play a VST as it is an instrument like this. That's just the way it is. But... that doesn't mean you CAN'T make great music with VSTs. Use what you can. We have more music making power in our homes than the best, most expensive studios had just 20 years ago.

It is expensive, but the originals (OB-X, OB-Xa, and OB8) were roughly $12,000 in today's money back in the 1980s.

@@JimAlfredson Good point :) And maybe the scarcity of semiconductors are playing a part in determining the price as well. But still, I don't think I could ever afford to fork out that kind of money on what to me is essentially a glorified hobby.
