As of this morning I’ve lost 99lbs(45kgs) since march of this year. 312(142kgs) to 213(96kgs). First 50lbs was fixing my diet and when it slowed down I bought a bike and started cardio. Someone left a 20lb kettlebell with the price tag still attached sitting in my apartment buildings room with the trash chute, like a gift from the universe I took as a sign. I started looking up how to use it properly and I’ve been swinging it around like I’m being attacked by bees. I’m ready to get 2 more and push the weight. I’ve gone from xxl shirts to large and my waist was 42 inches, now 36. Feels good man.

I'm in a similar situation, ideally I should lose 60kg but really I would be happy to see two digits on the scale instead of three. I have bought three kettlebells of light weights to start with and look at adding to them as strength and endurance improves.

Gregory, I need to say I really appreciate this video and the perspective you have in it and throughout all of your videos. I've got a few mental and physical health issues, which have caused me to gain weight with the required medication, but you've really inspired me more than anything or anyone I've seen before. You've got such a supportive, giving, loving attitude that I've only seen in a few people in my life which has inspired me to buy a couple used sport kettlebells, which is really needed since it's getting too cold to walk outside regularly. You're a great guy, thank you for everything you've done. I'm not a Christian because I cannot believe, but you truly do seem to take the teachings of Christ to heart in your training advice. If you were in Ontario, I would definitely take lessons from you above anyone else.

PS, if I has the money I would definitely take 90 days of kettlebells. Hopefully one day soon I can afford it, I hope the best for you

Amazing transformation!! Congratulations!! Very similar to my story. My third time losing 100 pounds. First time my workouts use exclusively kbs, clubs, and a mace(mostly kettlebell thanks to your videos) and my body looks better than ever before! What worked for my mental health was eating keto/carnivore.

So glad I stumbled into kettlebells. I was doing the dumbbell thing with Athlean-X, thought kettlebells might work better for a few exercises, got some off OfferUp for cheap($1/lb), then stumbled my way into Lebe Stark's and later Mark Wildman's channels. All fit neatly right next to my bed, very easy to fit 2 good workouts a week in. I'm keeping it simple right now with goblet squats, dead lifts, cleans, presses, and swings. That kicks my butt plenty for now! This video hits on so many reasons why kettlebells work for me, easily fits in a small room, little space required to do the workouts, the workouts can be knocked out quick, don't have to go anywhere to get a great workout in. Thank you for doing what you do, and keep at it!

5 month ago I started "no alcohol" diet, without changing anything else. I'm male 42, my height is 174cm, weight on Christmas was 91Kg now it is 82Kg., I lost 9kg in 5month, while keep my eating habits - I eat as much as I want and when I want, but its home made foods, not processed foods. And physical activities are similar before and after. I use sauna at home several times per week, because I feel good in sauna and after it. My physical activates for the past several years - lots of walking over 10 000 steps per day on average, most of it outside, in nature. And very limited work with resistance bands and dumbbells at home, recently I bought my first kettlebell (16kg), I enjoy it more then dumbbells. Kettlebell gets my heartrate up in few minutes, and it is easy to keep it from 120 bpm to 140 bpm by adjusting work and rest periods. For kettlebell I dont count reps, I use 30 sec work and 30 sec rest, for 10 to 20 minutes, without any program, lot of times only two had swings, because I dont have to think about what I need to do. Previously my alcohol consumption was moderate 3 - 4 pintes of beer per week, along with some snacks like potato chips. Usually only consumed 1 pint at a time, but several times per week. I thought that alcohol in moderation is beneficial for your health and only alcoholics have to quit alcohol entirelie. I assumed that people who don't use any alcohol must be alcoholic, because there is no reason why a non-alcoholic should avoid alcohol in moderation. My first commitment was January, I extended it to 3 month, now I'm thinking to not drink alcohol during 2024. In december I will decide how much drink in 2025 if anything.

Consistency is key. As my buddy says it's all about winning more days than you lose. Aka if you fail a day and go over your calories it's no big deal because you'll make up for it by winning more days than you lose. I definitely agree with him that kettlebells negate a lot of excuses as they're so easy to keep around that you can eventually just jump into it and get it done even when you've procrastinated. Once the juices start flowing I'm always glad I finally got it done. I'm down 70 lbs in 4 months by walking every day and doing 20-30 mins of KBs on weekdays. I set a goal of 80 by my 40th birthday and I'm 9 lbs away with 3 and a half weeks to go. Cutting it close and i def LOST yesterday. 😅

I just started training with kettlebells. This with the aim of losing another 25 kg and getting my pain in my knees and back under better control. I hadn't achieved much results in the gym, but I always saw these kettlebells. Then I picked up a kettlebell and tried it out. I was immediately into it, even though I did a lot of things wrong. Now I quit the gym and bought a set of kettlebells. Changes are already noticeable. Thank you very much, dear Lebe Stark team, for your inspiration. Unfortunately there is no trainer near me, so I have to rely on online resources.

Strong work. I have found that motivation is an unreliable variable. The driving force behind decades of physical training, for me, has been discipline (and maybe a wee bit of neuroses…:) ). There are so many days when motivation isnt even a blip on the radar, but discipline is always there. See Jocko Willink podcast for a great oral essay on discipline.

Great channel Gregory! Just one thing, no human needs vegetables or fruit. The flesh and fat of ruminants, some fish, some dairy if tolerated. Only the highest performing athletes might need exogenous carbs. Check out Dr Ken Berry, Dr Shawn Baker and quite a few others. Thanks for awesome content!

Him gaining the weight back is due to his diet of carbs. An improper diet will lead to a yo yo effect in gaining back even more weight the next time. Proper diet is key to maintaining his body weight. The most important food is Protein, next is fat, which comes with the protein. Carbohydrates are not an essential food. I guarantee he he continued eating bad food! Without a major change in diet, he will get fat again! I worked hard in losing my body fat and I have no desire or compunction in eating the crap food that cause my weight gain. I never track calories because I focus on fats and protein, which control my Insulin which is the sole source of getting overweight!
