The Economist Magazine published a book of obituaries. It’s available in audible format and is a great”read” for driving. No punches pulled, my favorite was Pamela Churchill Harriman. OMG. (Princess Margaret was pretty good too.)

michael wertzy what? Some people just grey early and slowly. It has nothing to do w personality. Just genetics.

@@ColoringKaria, I never mentioned "grey hair". My reply was meant for C.K., referring to our "shared" length of time we have enjoyed his wonderful style of producing the stories and subjects he shares with us. Charles Kuralt worked the same "humanistic" approach to his reporting. Peace

I read a funny obituary and went to the funeral of a man I never knew and did not know the people related to him. I was silent and respectful and wore black. It was a wonderful funeral. It was not as funny as the obit.

I know folks that still get the newspaper bc of the Obits! And attend lots of funerals too! Don’t stop writing obits!

Gee, could something on the show NOT be promotion for some other CBS product? It's really nice that they admit his book is published by Simon & Schuster, owned by CBS but now I wonder if all the Mitch Albom stuff is also Simon & Schuster and went without mention. Bring back that story about that girl raising a duck.

A newspaper obituary writer was and is the graveyard job for print reporters. Who prints the obituary for a newspaper when the paper's obituary writer, along with everyone else, is let go at the newspaper's demise?
