Hell yeah! Couldn't agree more. One of the most reliable death metal bands out there. There's been so much great material from them over the years and their new record is just as brilliant. I hope you enjoyed the video my friend and thanks for checking it out!
I remember hearing Slowly We Rot in 89 and literally losing my shit. That creepy intro, drum fill then John Tandy’s voice with that guitar tone opened a new dimension in my consciousness. I miss those days of discovering music that you’ve never heard before, that excitement doesn’t really exist anymore because everything under the sun seems to have been done to the point of blatant plagiarisms. There’s a lot of groovy, crunchy basic death metal out there and all of them are just in the shadow of what these guys originated. Keeping the machine going this long is no small feat either…may their evil old souls rock forever!
Haha yes! He was a total delight but this was actually not the first time chatting to him. I interviewed him once before for my zine back in 2017 I think it might have been? For the Deathcrusher tour (Carcass, Obituary, Napalm Death and Voivod) what a line up haha But it was great to chat to him again! Love this new album big time
Thanks so much for the kind words there my friend. Donald is literally one of the nicest people to chat to. I remember the first time that I interviewed him was on the Deathcrusher tour which was Carcass / Napalm Death / Obituary and Voivod. Such a fantastic line up and I think that they had just released Inked In Blood at the time. Fantastic stuff. Hope you're excited for the new album too!
@@TheMetalTris yes, can't wait for the album! Really hope they can do a headlining Europe tour someday, never seen them and they are always touring as a support act...
