I'm a Chicago fan. I have been privileged to watch the Bears, Bulls, White Sox, Blackhawks, and Cubs all win their championships. We stay loyal because we love our teams. Be like a Chicago fan: strong and proud. For any fan whose team is having a bad season: hold your head up. And always let the military on the ice for the Anthem hear your appreciation!
funny anecdote, before the penguins conceived iceburgh to kick jean-claude van dammes ass in sudden death, the pens thought it was a good idea to have a LIVING PENGUIN as a mascot to run around the rink. theres more about this somewhere on the internet.
I was at the most recent San Jose vs Detroit game here at the shark tank, and someone threw an octopus during OT. That’s definitely something I wasn’t expecting here in San Jose lol we don’t usually see stuff like that
I think for the Winnipeg Jets, paper airplanes should be thrown.Maybe have a contest throwing the farthest one. For the Panthers and the Predators, cat toys since their mascots are feline and have the toys be donated to the local shelter. :D
In the early 1960s a bomb was thrown on the ice in Maple Leaf Gardens during the national anthem. I was there with my father and everyone remained standing until the anthem was over. The Toronto Telegram newspaper reported that linesman Matt Pavelich could have had his arm blown off if the bomb landed 6 feet closer to him.
In sweden like 10 years ago or so when Leksand IF were playing against A.I.K, the A.I.K fans threw dildos on to the ice to mock one of the Leksand players (Jan Huokko) for a leaked sexvideo. This reply was very late to the party, but this was the only one i could think of from over here. Disrespectful, cruel and not belonging in an arena but yeah, only one i remember for now.
There was one more exception to the rule of things being thrown onto the ice during the final game at Joe Louis arena The fans were allowed to throw Octopi onto the ice after the national anthem and after each goal was scored because the commissioner was there and understood the tradition so he let the fans have at it
At a panther game vs the Canadians they found a twist in the rules I guess and a bunch of Canadians fan threw rats after a Canadians goal and panther got a 2 min penalty giving the Canadians the power plays
I've asked the Red Wings fans in my husband's family (Blackhawks fan here) that very question. You can see the poor things inking on the ice. They just change the subject....
I stopped your little video as soon as I heard octopus being called calamari. Octopus are not squid! Your video may have been fun or enlightening but I'll never know.
