Exodia only gains attack during damage calculation equal to your life total. At any other instance, it is supposed to be 0.

​@@thegreatscribbles960 Activating in damage calculation is just part of the condition to activate the effect. The effect is "Gains attack equal to your LP." The effect would have to specify "until the end of the battle" or "During damage calculation ONLY."

Yeah it should keep the ATK the way it's worded but in the end it's the exactly the same thing as the video, the ATK will update to your current LP every time it battles and the ATK will go to 0 if Exodia gets negated.

there were also lots of differences between ygopro and other website translations... I learnt a lesson some time ago : while the card is not available in OCG, dont try it on simulators

I would be if it was slightly better support. What would have been better is if in general an archetype that was called forbidden one was made five monsters representing the five pieces That way ultimate incarnate would be way more devastating and easy to summon. Which personally would have made more sense. Then what we got. Then gave us some trap and spell support for them. And with the regular five pieces exodia would have been a deck to himself. And then throw us the fusion and boom we have a deck with a potential auto win. And to limit it being busted just have the searchers only grab the effect monsters. And just make it so you could play an exodia deck without the pieces and lol there you go an exodia deck for the anniversary

lol we're so far behind in master duel it's sad. Weird to, considering we should have gotten alot of new cards that came out almost a year ago now, but yet we get something like Diabellstar that just came out 5 months ago.

​@@willbrown6298 because, even though we are packs behind the current set, its really up to Konami. They set the rules cus its their game, so we just hope that if they put the cards in the game, maybe as part of the 25th anniversary, but i don't think so(still hoping).

It DOES stack. The card doesn’t say anything like “gains during the damage step only” or “until the end of this turn”. When he battles -> ATK boost (this is permanent). Next turn, opponent attacks it -> ATK boost. Your turn, attack -> ATK boost. Just being on the field for 3 turns makes this thing a ridiculously massive beater.

@@Divine_Serpent_Geh the card says "once per turn, during damage calculation". It's built as a one shot buff, it's not supposed to stack. After damage calculation, the buff wears off. I know it isn't written like the damage buff of Topaz Tiger, but damage step buffs never carry over during turns.

@@h3llg3ar You are missing a vital piece of the puzzle, the word “only”. It gets buffed during damage calculation, yes, but it does not state the ATK gain is “ONLY during damage calculation”, thus the buff remains, since it’s ATK doesn’t “become”, it gains. ATK gains are permanent unless stated (until the end of this turn etc.)

@@Divine_Serpent_Geh no I understood that, it's why I referenced Topaz Tiger. Hopefully when this card hits the TCG, they will give the definitive. But for now, it's a battle buff only that doesn't stack.
