Indoor straps are softer than field straps, necessary when the indoor season starts. Possibly in your territory there is no indoor season? They need to be softer otherwise the straps will damage the floor of the indoor hockey hall/field. Clear?
Thomas van der Kooij Thanks for the info! We actually do have indoor hockey here, we are in our season right now but none of my keepers have ever heard of indoor specific straps. The rubber OBO straps we all have don't seem to damage the wood floors we play on though. Good to know in case they do!
Julie, the straps isn't the problem but the metal belt buckle can damage the indoor floor. The indoor straps have a plastic belt buckle. Some goalies use tape the cover the metal belt buckle.
Why don't you just use a little tape to tape the new strap to the end of the old one and then pull the old strap out and hence pull the new strap in, no need for cutting anything or having to thread a strap again.
