I actually really enjoyed this DLC. I loved seeing Gaige again, and seeing Lovecraftian horror in a Borderlands game is amazingly fitting. I couldnt pinpoint exactly why I had so much fun with these two expansions and then it hit me this morning: Its amazing how much more fun BL3 got when you dont have to listen to the awful dialogue from Troy and Tyreen.
Yeah honestly what they did with Lilith in Bl2 and Bl3 I will never forgive. She will always be my favorite vault hunter but god damn I dont know why they made her so incompetent and whiny.
@@PvtParts-hr4zv yeah idk who in hell said let us make a heartless cold stupid person with a hot headed annoying sidekick who is a child who she gives command to when she has 10 other friends brick, mordecai, zero etc.
The April Tapes given the chances it’ll probably be him or Axton, possibly krieg since a lot of people want krieg. I expect if they do bring back krieg though, itll be the last dlc
When I finished watching the side quest (because I'm a poor pleb who doesn't have the game) I actually clapped, because hats off to whomever wrote that sidequest for making the best one in the game + making something that's much better than the vanilla game. Maybe this is a bit too early to say, but so far, this dlc is the best, mostly because of the whole Lovecraftian vibe going on. Btw, Burton's VA is D.C. Douglas aka Wesker from Resident Evil 5 and Grimoir Noir in Nier. He's done a pretty good job!
To be fair, quiet was fully clothed at the begining of the game when big boss sets her on fire and she falls out of a window. They fixed her by turning her into a super soldier giving her the characteristics of a plants method of eating and breathing, meaning she "eats", "drinks", and breaths through her skin, similar to how a plant absorbs sunlight, co2, and water. I honestly thought it was pretty interesting as far as super soldiers go, and it would be interesting because aside from the weight of her steps making noise she would be basically undetectable
One of the best OST in this DLC was the part when, at the ending, when you defeat the 2 lovers, there is a song, when you are at the " House party " that sound so freaking amazing, like a Rave song or something, and i cant even put my hands on it, so if someone have it, i would REALLY appreciate it.
Just give it up kiddo! Blood wings got all the elements at her disposal! Fire! Electricity! Corrosion! Slag! And ah, dam, I forgot the last one. What the hell was that again?
Before I watched this video I was looking at the urban legend of the wendigo (cause I like to look at stuff like that) when he got to the part of the wendigo I go lt the chills
At empowered scholar you dont have to platform at all, you can reach all the machines from the main island. That is imo the worst boss design in Borderlands 3
i feel like bl3 is just a bunch of borderlands stories stitched together, like if you look at each individual planet they'd all be considered "good" by dlc standards (except for maybe the end of prometha)
@@matthewhenry3858 Because you the protagonist take the backseat to everything else in the game. All cutscenes pretend you're not there, the ending itself makes Lilith the person sitting on their ass the entire game out to be the hero. The villains suck, they're not funny, you never feel satisfied beating them. Handsome Jack was a dick but at least you had moments where you got one up on him and it felt satisfying. Tyreen doesn't even say anything she just falls. Ava sucks. Ava is like the worst character which would've been fine if she wasn't so central to the story. Why does Lilith say "sanctuary's yours"? Seriously, this dumb little girl who got Maya killed and pretends like it's everyone else's fault gets an entire ship, not the friends and companions she's known for 7-12 years? Aside from that a lot of the worlds are really boring. Pandora's boring, Eden 6 is boring. The only fun one is Promethea. The boss fights suck. The boss fights in this game have always been a weakpoint but why are there so many damn invulnerable phases in them? It slows things down and makes them unfun to replay. Uhh, the humor's kinda weak but it was weak in 2 as well so it's all par for the course, I guess it's just weird being an adult and not a kid who thinks it's the funniest thing ever, I actually get to see it be bad and then get super dated in like a year, even though most of it is already dated. Idk a lot of what made the old games so strong was the areas were cool and fun to play through, side missions didn't have me groaning on replay like this game does. There ya go my unfiltered uneditted train of thought for like 5 minutes.
I can't believe you said Borderlands dlcs aren't any good. The robolution dlc in BL1 is so good I only go through it to get to the hyperion gift shop at the end xD
At least Gaige is back as a background character. She was the most fun of the characters, because she wasn't one of the usual 4 flavours or an agenda-character that fills the modern archetypes of games that want to be up to the times...
