I like this woman especially because of the love and respect she has for Ghana and Africa. The Ghana Tourist Authority should consider giving her contract to promote Ghana culture in Europe. She can be a great influencer for Ghanaian culture.
I have been following this woman on TikTok and she’s so lovely and amazing. I call her international woman. She’s so down to earth and loves everything about Ghana.
Nyamekye! Wow ... I will be happy to sponsor her next trip to Ghana and host her as well, with her child. Very impressed. Hoping she leaves her social media handles or some form of contact.
She felt a little sad when she was asked about her marriage. I can see from her smile. All is well Abena Broni. We thank you for the positive thoughts about Ghana. We 🇬🇭 love you
My favourite type of obroni, open minded, jovial and a willingness to learn from other cultures. I sometimes marvel at the ability of black people to move to foreign countries and learn the local language. I am pleasantly surprised to see the opposite. This is just wonderful.
On this note, I appeal to the Ministry of Tourism to pay keen interest in SVTV's activities. These feedback can contribute to the development of strategies which can improve the image of Ghana globally. Passive aggresion, discrimination is tearing us apart. Lets wake. Our culture is priceless. 'Maame Astimin',🙃 thanks for providing this valuable insight into your Ghanaian experience. You are very intelligent and mature.
I’m so proud of her and she’s very smart and intelligent 🧠. It was good for her to come to Ghana 🇬🇭 and see things for herself as a young lady and learn how our culture and traditions are going on in our country Ghana 🇬🇭. Abroad is loneliness is killing us here, she’s very right and I really like her so much love ❤️💗💕🥰😍😘
A true ambassador for Ghana. Thanks for focusing and accentuating the positive. On other platforms, all people complain about is haggling, a little bit of price gouging, slow customer service. It is all about perspective.
Those who speak English to their children instead of their own language are suffering from colonial mentality. What even annoys me these days,is how some will not complete a sentence in twi without mixing it with English. It is all Colo mentality.
Not easy teaching kids your language when you are the only one who speaks around them. You need to have people around you who also speak with them. Language is hard.
I remember her very well. I was a student at the school of performing Arts. I remember very well. She was a tall beautiful lady. I remember she visited one of our lecturers at the English department who was also a Norwegian. Our lecturer's name was Kari Dako. I was a student from 1999-2002. I did a combined majors in English and Theatre Arts. Remember very well. Her name was Abena as I recollect 👍🏿👍🏿
This is why the Ghana tourism should push harder. I love woman coz of the love she has Ghana and Africa as a whole DJ Nyaami thank you for this program
Our language is very important. It was only during lockdown that I realised my kids struggle with the Twi hence my RU-vid channel. I think I got time to actually listen to them. Now they try to answer me with Twi when I speak with them. What Abena is saying is true. I miss Ghana 🇬🇭 a lot. But we have good people like her in Norway 🇳🇴 my dad spoke a lot about how he was welcomed there by the whites. Good interview 👍 👏 Nyame nhyira wo paa.
I just subscribed. Very impressed with your twi lessons and I think my kids will benefit enormously from your selfless contents you have shared with the world. Very grateful, madam.
I like your last question to the lady. It is painful not only overseas but in Ghana to abandon our own language. Ghanaian parents don’t “allow” their kids to learn any of one of the parent’s native language and some make them speak English at home. It’s real sad. I am a “student” of Ghanaian languages. I have lived outside Ghana for more than 5 decades. In addition to speaking three Ghanaian languages fluently, I also own an Interpreter/Translation (English to different African languages) company in America that caters to businesses, corporate world, state/governmental, medical, institutions, etc. I leave with a quote from late Nelson Mandela - “If you speak to a man in a language he understands, you speak to his head. If you speak to him in his language, you speak to his heart.”
This is so amazing even after her divorce she still live the culture ! Love how she speaks it and some Ghanaians won’t even teach their kids Kudos to you my dear 🤗🤗🤗🤗🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
Love you keke Abena, VERY honest , you "hit the nail on the head " . Too much corruption in Ghana , that's why the country is not moving forward regardless of ALL the natural resources. Very sad!
Great interview. Beautiful country Norway🇧🇻. She's so sweet spirited and spoke nothing but the truth. So nice to see she's Norwegian and more open. Much love Norge 🇧🇻❤
Well done Sir for hosting this Noble Woman. Getting to know that I am watching the Obroni who did the Astimi advert alone made my day! I believe many Ghanaians would love to hear more from her and many TV and radio stations in Ghana would love to host her...cheers to the opportunities for you to travel to Ghana frequently! Much Love!❤
I remember this girl's advert on tv about a drug. She did that advert with Akuabakuma Prempeh. The advert was in Twi. This was in 1999 or 2000. I encountered her once. She was a very interesting character.
I live in the United States at the moment, but I understand what Obroni is talking about because I have been to Norway and other Scandinavia countries, Denmark, and Sweden specifically when I was working as a Marine Engineer. I had an amazing Norwegian friends but culturally they are reserved and individualistic. I really enjoyed my time in Norway and I have friends who married Norwegians. Flotte mennesker etter min mening, når du blir kjent med dem. Don't be fooled, the Norsk you see was translated, I don't speak Norsk like Obroni speaks Twi. Impressive!!! Back in early 1990s, I was doing good speaking Norsk, but then came to U.S. and lost all.
I have study in Norwegian for 5yrs and stayed there 7 yrs . I tell you what this woman is saying is true . They don't care but some do care tho !!!! I know the place very very well.
DJ, after listening to this it Got me sad and happy at the same time, the european Sees us as if we sleep in guters. And i was happy she said she was shocked when she arrived in Ghana
You see Africa is life the best place to leave, free movement friendly we love each other, Africans we have to be proud of our continent and always people are dying on the desert desperate to come to Europe, so Africans we have to appreciate our continent it's not bad as we think, thank you very much Madam for sharing this testimony.
My mother land Ghana 🇬🇭 we have a large heart we care about foreigners strangers, because our ancestors started it from millions years ago. I perfectly understand this woman how she feel . But DJ Nyame I noticed something in my mother land Ghana 🇬🇭 it seems like we don’t love or like ourselves. We love strangers more than anything. They always protect and hold that caring image for the foreigners or the western people they visit.
Interesting conversation and in-depth interview by DJ Nyame I love this. Ghana we a lot but only dirty polities that are killing us. And unfortunately, some unguided media fraternity are using their various platform for that. May God bless you DJ Nyame for always thinking positively and educating Ghana. Tutu tu tuaaaaooo
Aaahhhhh I know her on T.V.I even met her and her family at Airoster landing restaurant with 2 kids and her handsome husband.Evwryone loved her because of the she presented her self. She only spoke Twi to her husband and the kids.i now remember her. EII Abena,,,you always look beautiful.❤❤❤❤❤
Nigerias , South Africa, Zimbabeas, Kenyas Gambias name most of the African countries ooh yeah when they meet outside the vibe is so tight they move together. But when it comes to Ghanaians community outside hm so so fighting saaaa . They fight in Ghana when they travel to outside they fight there too . We should love ourselves.
You are so beautiful Wisdom is better than silver and gold. Thank you Miss. Hope Ghanaians will value their social asset and all their beautiful stuff they have. Bless
