I have a stock 1995 7.3L f350 4x4 and as far asI know it’s stock and I was recommended to swap the axel to 2005+ , why would you want to swap what’s going to change after
For the rear axle, was it pretty much a direct swap? I currently have a complete stock 1988 F250 4x4 and a planning on swap the front and rear with axles from a 2008. I've got a complete 08 chassis I'll be picking up. I don't want to lift it any higher than I have to. Also will be completing this complete by myself so please any details will be helpful.
Yes it was a direct swap, just had to flip the rubber brake line from the frame down because the brake lines on the super duty axles were different threads on each side.
Question, is there any difference between the 7.3 diesel kit and the 460 7.5 liter kit? I have a 97 F-250 HD 4x4 7.5 liter and I'm going to do the dana 60 swap for both as well.
Great video. I did this swap on my 96 crew cab f350. I just ended up using all the factory brackets for a 08 truck and modified everything to work just because I didn't have enough money to purchase a kit and I had some time to do the project. Love the way yours is looking. Can't wait to see more 👍🤘
Can you elaborate on this? I have a 2wd, i already have the transfer case and transmission, now looking at getting some 05+ axles, but swap kits are expensive
@turbospeedsc so I purchased the brackets from Ford. You can still buy them from Ford for an 08 superduty. Not to expensive either. I modified the track bar mount to work. You can do the same as well, but if the engine is in the truck, it's very hard to make it work. You need to massage the engine cradle to make the track bar mount work. Otherwise, it is very easy and cost-effective to do it this way. I even upgraded to an 08 gear box. Let me know if you need any more information. I can even send measurements and pictures to you
