OBS GMT400 Clutch Pedal Assembly Differences

I found a workable substitute for the discontinued GM return spring. It is completely backwards - meaning the spring unwinds as you depress the pedal, and it is on the other side of the bracket. But it works. Mazda BR70-41-081 fits Miata or Protege

Nice video. Thanks. I'm in the process of converting a 1997 K1500, but I have the older bracket you show. It's not going well. I'm thinking that I need to locate the newer style bracket. There just isn't much room under that dash.

I found on my 1990 C1500 that it did not have the bracket on the frame of the dash to install the 2 bolts at the rear of the bracket. This piece is welded to the dash frame but is not there on some autos

What if you actually have a donor vehicle that has a nv4500? Then it would have everything so then it all can be converted to the 1988- 95 if needed.

Im right in the midst of doing the same swap from a 97 nv3500 into my 98 suburban. It’s gonna be a cool swap because the 95-99 gmt400 suburbans never got a manual transmission on the 1/2 ton platform Another guy working with me on how to who has done this swap said it’s easiest to take the NSS from 4L60, run it up into the cab and attached it to the factory switch on clutch pedal, maintaining factory “push clutch to start” function. A lot of people just jump this to a ground also ? Have you thought that out on your swap or got to that point ? There’s also the reverse light wires and the speed sensor to wire in

Additionally was said it’s necessary to send your pcm away for a tune auto to manual tune You’ll have a high idle and sel light if not. Let me know any other suggestions and good info you have come across or done in regards to the swap or my input Thanks
