No toxicity is mostly from your seniors and complaining against them would be not good as you can’t survive obgyn alone. You need your co pgs and your seniors to help and guide you. And also the seniors don’t mean to hurt you most of the time, it just comes out due to a lot of stress, overwork and lack of sleep. I think toxicity is only there during the residency since you’ll definitely be overworked because it’s a critical branch where you are dealing with 2 lives. But later once you are done with your JR and SR days , it’ll be less toxic, it won’t be as rough as your beginning. Seriously this is a beautiful branch and you would get all the satisfaction of being a doctor a lot of times. That’s what I feel.

@@mish8571 yeah but I read that in USA, OBGYN with a MFM fellowship can further persue a fetal surgery fellowship. So I was asking if the same can be done in India too.
I'm too sailing in the same boat even after the counselling hai started. Do let us know what made her finally decide between OBGYN and Paeds. Thank youu
@@doctornaveen1855 There are more male obg doctors in my city than female. And the authors of textbooks of obg are male, the instruments used are named after male doctors. So the gender of a doctor should be a non issue
