If you have belltech or street edge drop spindles they push out the wheel 1/2". It is to clear 15" rims so ghey dont hit the control arms.

I recommend ear plugs when grinding. One day i was grinding my brother's truck a hot 🔥 spark fell inside my freaking ear 👂 that crap hurt though i was to be deaf
