We keep pressing on with the OBS project. Tonight, I tackled combining the OBS harness to the LS harness. It takes time, patience, a few cold snacks, and in the end, you have two harnesses married into one. Keep getting your hands dirty and get those projects on the road where they belong!

I wish there was content for how you thinned down the 98 harness. Like you mentioned, i have more time than money and would really like to save a few bucks. I do like the idea of that junkyard harness connection.

I started thinning the harnesses here. Like I always say, the junkyard will provide. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-siu-9VEnIwE.htmlsi=Ij11KMGcTVWQGuOd

Hey man! Not sure if my question got posted to a comment or not! I'm struggling to find where the pin 11 of the black c1 connector goes to its the serial data wire... Lt1 swap description has it as the dlc connector but im not sure where to tie it into that either. I'm hoping you found it's home?!? Thanks!!

That's the obd signal. Once you pull it from the black 11, it will tie into the blue 58 coming out of the LS pcm.

@@macsboneyardbuilds you sir are the man!! Thank you so so much! Absolute life saver!! Just for clarity sake that's a splice into the wire coming from pin 58 Blue? Thanks again!

Yes. Pin 58 will be going to nothing when you thin out the ls harness. It will tie into black 11 to run the obd port in the cab👍

@@macsboneyardbuilds I'm running an aftermarket harness that has a wire in there already for serial data that runs to pin 2 of the DLC. That's where my confusion lies

@chesterfield.mcdermott does the aftermarket harness already have an obd port attached to it? If so, you'll just have two ports. One for the engine side and the other (factory) for the abs module.

I have a ls swap I'm doing I would like to put a 5.3 in a 2006 infiniti g35 so my question is how hard would it be to add a cambus system to make the factory gauges work in my g35?

Sorry, I'm not your guy for that. Crossing platforms like that, I would do something like gut the factory dash, grab some sheet metal, and put some autometer gauges in. Maybe try to find a cluster rebuilder who is familiar with Infiniti gauges. They may have an answer for you.

I'm also sure there are g35 ls swap forums, somebody has had to have done it before.

I can buy a pre built harness but it's like 1800$ but if I can find away to build my own like you have done here I would be better off and saving dollar's. Any thank you for the reply back I have just discovered your Chanel and I'm subscribing. Again thanks for the reply back!!

Absolutely. Maybe try and find the wiring schematic for the g35 and just go for it. Then, if it doesn't work, the worst case would be to save up for the prebuilt. Keep after it, you'll figure it out!
