I'm happy you brought up Professor Von Kriplespac in this. He's my favorite. Though, I like the "he possibly could've been the king in the legend that got his legs chopped off when Panther King took over" backstory presented in BFD better than the "he was an evil war general" one if L&R. I think the L&R story set for him is cool and all, but it looks like it was just presented as an excuse for extra gameplay, so I don't count it as canon. Besides, those tediz couldn't have come to be until during the Panther King's reign. I like to think they were created in pure hatred for the Panther King and longing to overthrow him again. Just how I see things, I just think the previous legend was more fascinating.
The yellow power suit towards the end of the video is very reminiscent of the robot from Blast Corps. It even has a radioactive symbol on it, so it's likely a reference.
I think it's worth mentioning that Pocket Tales was meant to be a hold-over game for Twelve Tales, which had been in development for a while, and keep people's interest in the character up (basically like a teaser), so most of the elements stated to be from Pocket Tales were from Twelve Tales originally.
Today is March 5, 2021. On this day 20 years ago Conker's Bad Fur Day was released. This classic game became one of my favorites when I rented it and later got my own copy for my 13th birthday. This game is truly one of the best things out of the year 2001 in my opinion next to the D-12 album Devil's Night and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Ill always love this game and cherish it for the work of art it is. Not to mention the fact that it spoofs many of my favorite movies mainly A Clockwork Orange which will turn 50 this year. And while I was hit hard by the games dark ending it only made it more likable to me. I enjoyed both versions of the game as well. Both the 2001 N64 game and the 2005 Xbox remake, Live & Reloaded although I would've loved to have played the cancelled sequel as well. All that having been said, happy 20th anniversary Conker's Bad Fur Day. You truly are an unforgettable masterpiece.
If you count Conker’s first ever game, Conker’s Pocket Tales, then as of right now, it’s almost his 21st anniversary. Counting Diddy Kong Racing will make it almost his 23rd. OH NOW YOU MENTION POCKET TALES!? THAT GAME CAME IN 1999!!!!
thanks! i just realized after going to a video of the song itself that the main reason i recognize it is because it's a cover of the main theme from A Clockwork Orange. awesome video by the way, this game was insane.
THIS GAME NEEDS A FRANCHISE ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE!!THATS NO OPINION ITS A FACT.IT IS HYSTERICAL AND SMART AS WELL AS ADORABLE AND I THINK WE ALL MORE OF THIS KINDA GAME.
The name Conker 64 twelve tales can be found in an old VHS tape advertising Banjo Kazooie. At the end of the tape it shows other games coming soon to the N64, most were normal, but one included things from Conker 64.
Guys listen, Chris Seavor (Creator and voice of Conker) has a company and a youtube called "GoryDetailedLimited" they are working on a game (well it's probably finished but idk) called "Parashoot Stan" It's actually a spiritual succesor to Banjo-Kazooie!
Actually, from what I've read, Twelve Tales was made alongside Conker's Pocket Tales, and both games were meant to be released within a few months of each other. Since they're sibling titles, they shared a lot of music and levels. Pocket Tales would also use the Transfer Pack somehow, though it's unknown how it would be used.
Here’s how I’d make the sequel. Its many years later, and Conker is a full blown alcoholic after Berri’s death. He then kills himself, and begs Greg (the grim reaper) to bring Berri back. He says Berri can’t come back (though she is a squirrel) and Conker promises him the $1,000,000 he earned at the ending of the game. Greg said he doesn’t get paid well, and that makes him want to help Conker, so he gives Conker a chance to bring Berri back. He then goes on another journey to try and get her back, and at the end of the journey, he gives his crown to someone else-who, I don’t know, but I’m sure Chris Seavor and friends will figure that out.
You forgot to mention that in BFD, Conker wears his original outfit in ALL chapters (but the last chapter). In Live & Reloaded, however, Conker where's a military outfit in the war chapter while in the spokey chapter he wears a... coat with hair and, uh, whatever the heck the outfit is called? Also, in BFD, Conker has two guns. BUt in Live & Reloaded, he carries one gun. Yes, you heared me right: One FREAKING gun!
Interesting! And I read about conkers other bad day as well, supposedly he spends most of his fortune on strippers and booze and gets banished and locked up to the highest tower of his castle, first level would be him escaping which would explain the concept art you showed :)
Man, I wonder what would've happened if they had made "Twelve Tales: Conker 64". Would we even have Conker's Bad Fur Day? Would Microsoft even buy Rare a couple years later? All we can do is say "What if..."
I just googled the code for the Grim Reaper in multiplayer because I remember it so well. "Billy Mill Roundabout" - To pull out before the point of ejaculation. I think I just found my new band name
what is that somber song that plays at 10seconds and other parts of the video? i know i've heard it a lot, and i can't get it out of my head or figure out where i heard it!
I thought one of RareWare's last stands was Starfox Adventures. Oh, did you know?: Conker plays Killer Instinct of course, but on a GameBoy Advanced SP in the Xbox Version. (Foreshadowing?)
If CBFD actually ended with Conker killing himself, it'd be somewhat a really good ending despite killing possibilities for sequels, because the franchise just continued dragging to be honest.
there's a on on conker's bad fur day 2 on the internet I really want to see it more than any game (other than a new megaman game) well just keeping u informed great vid lov dat comedy
7:22 All these years, and I still have no idea what this song is. It keeps popping up in my life in other videos, streams, channels, yet i never find the answer. AM I CURSED TO NEVER LEARN THE NAME OF THIS SONG!? IS THIS MINE FATE!?!?!?
Watching this video because I was feeling nostalgic. And guess fucking what? Its about 30 minutes away from the 13th year anniversary. Is this coincidence? Hopefully they make a Conker game for xbone
