The dedication these men / women have, to make this video, and other videos for the world to see, is absolutely astounding. All the hours that turn into days that they spend in such environments, bring us such unbelievable footage we owe them a debt that can never be repaid. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so very very much.

My god is it fascinating, too. They have such insight to their behaviors .. and the video work (amongst the nonstop dense bugs on them) were able to capture expressions that match each emotion or role they refer to in a way easily related to by either our anthropocentrism or empathy.

Well if Europeans ,from Spain, france, Britain, Portugal, Germany, denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands did not come to the dark skin continent and see the people, animals, land and resources and want it for themselves we wouldn't have this problem. The fact is its westernized government which is made up of European men who thinks that they should be the leader and be the solver of every men. When in truth you and your women is the cause of the original problems. Yet refused to see that but noe you want to blame the natives. While its white men selling the AK 47

My favorite animal on this planet is the gorilla, they're such gentle caring creatures, they look intimidating but gorillas will try to avoid violence at all cost and will fight only if it has absolutely no other choice. When I worked as a bush pilot in Uganda I had a pleasure of a wild baby gorilla which approached me and started climbing on my back, at that moment I thought I was dead because the mother went to the silverback to show him what I was doing but incredibly the silverback walked up to me and took the baby and gave it to the mother with zero aggression towards me and since then I fell in love with these beautiful apes. They're truly amazing but you have to see them live in their natural habitat to really appreciate these creatures, TV just doesn't do it justice compared to seeing them live.

Paula Johnson I don't think they attack often. Gorillas are extraordinarily peaceful for wild animals because they are intelligent, emotional, and social creatures and unless provoked, they have no reason to attack other animals unless they are a legitimate threat because they aren't after meat. I'm sure humans have been attacked, but likely because they were not mindful enough. There is more footage of humans directly interacting peacefully with wild gorillas than humans being attacked by them, which I haven't actually ever seen. I've seen them put on displays of their dominance just to let humans know they are not to be trifled with, but these actions are not with the intention of attacking unless that human isn't approaching mindfully and cautiously.

I agree; what cowardice people to shoot a peace loving mammal. I'm not opposed to all hunting if it is a must to eat or if a species of game is over populated but not such high functioning mammals. I would go pheasant hunting but not duck hunting because I see that ducks are capable of much affection, even FRIENDSHIP. No I don't judge duck hunters, nor do I frown on it. Mine is a personal decision. However, species such as Dolphins, Gorilla, even whales, are so elite on an evolutionary scale, they are species I frown on hunting and am for the short term incarceration of such people.

after their babies start to reach the age when they no longer require their mother's milk, koalas will feed them a certain type of dung. This dung introduces a bacteria into their digestive system that aids in the breaking down of Eucaplyptus, a rather toxic plants to all but Koalas. This may be linked the the reason why gorillas eat their own dung. Beautiful animals! Thanks for the team who brought us this footage!

And u need to consider the facts all doesnt survive.when u say wild i hope u r talking all mountain and lowland.and every male cannot mate and produce a baby gorilla.Sometimes we need to see the positives people r doing.what good does it make to have more if the forest they live in cant sustain it properly.

I honestly believe that we are the only ones who can help save these majestic animals and that countries should create a sort of Nato/armies in order to defend these types of animals as they so much resemble us. It doesn't matter what situation these people are in they should be taught not to even think of killing these animals or else!

@@Habaccuc That doesn’t give anyone else an excuse to kill animals. The animals in europe were killed before humans knew how important they were for the ecosystems. That’s not an excuse but the reason. People nowadays know how important these animals are and that they’ll go extinct if they keep being poached/their forests keep getting chopped down, so it needs to be stopped
