Oh, man. Joe Staton. I remember his Guy Gardener run - with Sinestro’s yellow ring. Really under appreciated artist.

Another great video John! I personally have gone through many phases in collecting. I thought I was a completist until I realized the space it took up! But nowadays I typically only collect keys and #1 issues of silver and bronze comics. But my main collecting consists mostly of bronze horror. Im very happy to have a complete run of Man-Thing, Tomb of Dracula, Frankenstein, and other horror titles. And I’ve almost completed Werewolf by Night. That being said, i also can’t control myself with buying cool books that are priced too good to pass up. lol

I totally agree brother! For the longest time, I felt I was a completist, but like you, eventually space became an issue. I also like #1 issues. And if covers are amazing, I’ll keep them, but run fillers for me are something of the past lol…and the positive side of that is, I add a lot of books to inventory now! Your runs of horror books are very cool…and I still envy your copies of silver age Ghost Rider lol…I know you realize that!

I am a completist with x-Men volume one, tomb of Dracula, and werewolf by night. Otherwise, I collect key books from all genres. I bag and board, price and annotate all my books and then alphabetize them. It’s a lot of work and a lot of money but I don’t slab books nor do I pay up for slabbed books. Currently have about 40 long boxes. Good discussion

Yea, Amazing Spider-Man has a lot of issues lol. I really did have to give myself a cutoff unless a book is a Key! I have to limit what I keep due to space limitations!

Peter David / Dale Keown Hulk, John Bryne Superman books, Claremont / Alan Davis Excalibur are my favorite runs. I don’t do full books; mostly follow creators!

Thank you so much for your comments brother! Very much appreciate you! I don’t tend to be a completist either. I focus on creative teams, or certain story arcs, but since the 1990’s, I decided not to focus on getting every issue.
