Thanks for this latest CLI "How to.." video. I was following along & thinking, "Now I have these awesome folders with my D&D content (that I don't have to scan & place in my D&D set-up!) Pity I cannot change where they go or what they're named as".... And now, with today's "How to.." I CAN! Awesome! Thanks Josh & very much looking forward to adding the homebrew content & templates.

I put in the adventure and book sections to the script I’m linking my cmd prompt to, but I still am getting no folders under my copendium for adventures or books at all

Really appreciating this series of guides. I'm looking to run Storm King's Thunder (which i have purchased, of course) out of Obsidian. I'm curious, do you have any ideas for how to better organize the content that the CLI puts into the Adventure notes? Having each chapter be in a single massive note file makes it difficult. For example, Storm King's Thunder has a very large section of Locations in Chapter 3, and it would be great if these were all split out into different notes. Currently thinking i'll just copy the adventure into a separate folder in my vault, manually organize it using the Extract Header option and create my own folder structure, then go through and link things together. If you have any better ideas, I'd love to hear it! Thanks again.

I use the 1x Note Per Chapter myself. I quite like it except with a few additions. 1. If a chapter is for a dungeon, then I have a Leaflet map in a separate note that has each room linked to the rooms on the map. I use the map to navigate the chapter that way. 2. If a chapter is for a location, such as SKT, I break out each individual location into it's own note and link that all up based on the location to the map. My current strategy is to export to the CLI folder, but then I create a new folder for the Adventure and copy the note into there and hack and slash my way into it until it's aligned with what makes sense based on the content contained within the Chapters.

@@JoshPlunkett great to know, thanks for the reply! i also intend to do something similar to certain NPC notes. the CLI puts the named NPCs into the bestiary which isn’t ideal for me. i would want them in a separate folder so i can add to their notes and link them more thoroughly to wherever they show up in the adventure. but that means i’ll have to go and track down all the CLI notes for them and delete them or remove the aliases lol. we’ll see how much work that ends up being!

I don't know where you re-downloaded the "ttrpg-convert-cli-main (5).zip" file. I understand that you have downloaded it 5 times, so I just wanted to be very precise with my question. Does your site automatically grab the latest, or how do we do so manually? Also, thank you for such a thorough tutorial. You've gone at my speed and I appreciate the level of added explanation.

I'm just downloading it manually. The 5 represents how many times I've redone this video lol.

Raise a post in the obsidian ttrpg community discord with copies of your folder layout, config file, command line and error messages.

Still works? I'm trying to use the .json configuration file, but this message appears: Specified config file does not exist.

Check your pathway is correct. I'll bet you downloaded the examples and the path has a -main in it but your file doesn't.

@@JoshPlunkett I found out what it was, I downloaded an example and modified it following what you do in the video, but it didn't work. But now I created a notepad and transformed it into .json, and it worked. Thank you for your work and your attention, I'm Brazilian and using RU-vid subtitles to understand your videos is a little complicated to understand, but it's worth it hahahah, your content is very good.
