Hi, I am new to your channel, can you please specify, what each vault emphasizes? You have 4 playlists at your channel: 1) Work vault 2) evergreen, 3) daily notes first 4) second brain. What is the difference between them? It seems you have created some robust systems. I would be pleased if you give me some advice or simply describe a little more your vaults. Thanks in advance, and have a good day! P.S. I was trying to find some information by myself, but in "coffee shop" there are only few sentences, and blog link was showing ads only, when I opened it from phone.
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Let me see if I can answer them. You can read more about the difference between the Evergreen Vault and the Work Vault here: www.constructbydee.com/services (my new website! 🥳) The Evergreen Vault is set up for everything (Daily Notes First methodology, LOGREDIS methodology, Journaling, Note-taking, Project and Task Management, Meeting Management, etc). It also includes chapters that runs you through the theory related to PKM. The Work Vault is specifically set up for "white-collar-workers". Meaning it does not have all the bells and whistles of the Evergreen Vault. This does make it extremely simple to understand and implement, where the Evergreen Vault has a little bit of a higher learning curve. This Work Vault is not set up for Journaling or Creative work necessarily. The "Daily Notes First" is a methodology that is incorporated in the Work Vault and Evergreen Vault. It is essentially a way of setting up Obsidian where you have to use the "Daily Note First". Meaning, everyday you start with today's note - which is your main story line, and each of the meetings or notes that you mention on this specific day becomes their own little "side-quest" for the day. I explained this better in the long form Work Setup Video at this timestamp: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MyR6R55lGRk.htmlsi=cW9eQ9sdYvcRE2L7&t=807 The Second Brain: Our PKM is our second brain. Hope this helps!
Love your videos. What's the difference between this template and the evergreen template? Is this an update of the Evergreen template or it's the Evergreen template but stripped down for work only. I'm gonna buy the evergreen one hoping that's the case.
You got it exactly right! The evergreen has all of the functionality, although set up in slightly different ways. Evergreen is a vault for personal mixed with professional. Work Vault is set up specifically for work and does not have all the functionality of the Evergreen vault. Pro tip: sign up for the Membership option on BuyMeCoffee and you’ll have access to both ☺️
Hi, i have problem with the query in People Template, could you help? ```dataview TABLE without id file.link as "Contact note" file.day + ": **" + T + " days**" as "Last Contact" FROM [[]] FLATTEN (date(today) - file.day).day as T SORT file.day desc Limit 1 ``` Dataview: Error: -- PARSING FAILED -------------------------------------------------- 1 | TABLE without id 2 | file.link as "Contact note" > 3 | file.day + ": **" + T + " days**" as "Last Contact" | ^ 4 | FROM [[]] 5 | FLATTEN (date(today) - file.day).day as T Expected one of the following: ',', /FROM/i, EOF, FLATTEN [AS ], GROUP BY [AS ], LIMIT , Not a comment, SORT field [ASC/DESC], WHERE , whitespace
Hi there! You missed the "s" for the "days" in the 3rd last sentence. - FLATTEN (date(today) - file.day).days AS T Try this one: ```dataview TABLE WITHOUT ID file.link AS "Contact note", file.day + ": **" + T + " days**" AS "Last contact" FROM [[]] FLATTEN (date(today) - file.day).days AS T SORT file.day desc LIMIT 1 ```
Thanks for your video. I have a problem in Weekly notes. only showing hte msg "no result for table query." Please help me. code is below --- created-date: summary: --- >Prev: [[]] >Next: [[]] >Week: [[]] ## Tasks ```dataview TASK WHERE !completed AND icontains(text, "") AND icontains(text, "#task") GROUP BY file.name as filename SORT rows.file.ctime DESC ``` ## Log ```dataview TABLE WITHOUT ID file.link as Date, summary FROM "Journal" WHERE icontains(week, this.file.link) SORT Date ASC ``` 😀
Hi there! the issue is that you only have one ":" after the Week: inline metadata field. There should be two "::". --- created-date: summary: --- >Prev: [[]] >Next: [[]] >Week: [[]] ## Tasks ```dataview TASK WHERE !completed AND icontains(text, "") AND icontains(text, "#task") GROUP BY file.name as filename SORT rows.file.ctime DESC ``` ## Log
Hi i have a problem with the Monthly Note Template. Please help! : Dataview: Error: -- PARSING FAILED -------------------------------------------------- 2 | file.link as Date, 3 | summary > 4 | FROM "06 Journal/01 Daily//" | ^ 5 | SORT date ASC 6 | Expected one of the following: 'and' or 'or', /FROM/i, EOF, FLATTEN [AS ], GROUP BY [AS ], LIMIT , Not a comment, SORT field [ASC/DESC], WHERE , whitespace My code-(the 06 Journal is intentional) ```dataview TABLE WITHOUT ID file.link as Date, summary FROM "06 Journal/01 Daily//" SORT date ASC ```
Hi there! It's expected that the template itself will show an error initially. However, when you activate the template (for a specific month), does the error still occur after activation?
