Three reasons why many of us lack enjoyment when it comes to running
1. It hurts - you may be too heavy which causes joint pain. You may have niggles or injuries that should be address. These are reason to not run, as much as they are to run. Foot wear and when to change it. Cadence 180bpm is optimal, how to increase it. When is the best time to practice that zone 2
2. Running to hard - doing too much too soon and thinking that it needs to be perfect.
3. Environment - Where are you running? Road, trails, hills?
4. Running alone - park run, group running, running retreats and camps.
What can we do about this?
Plan the runs
Choose new routes
Explore new routes
Slow the F down / start small
Track training
Run with others
Get educated, get a coach to write you a plan and hold you accountable to it.
