It was fun tormenting the TCU fans last night at the bar. OMG we laughed so hard bc we KNEW (as Michigan fans) what was about to happen.

Kirby Smart was Nick Saban's secret sauce; more important than building the defense, he brought the ferocity. This year's Bama team is a perfect example. They started the season with - by far - the most experienced and talented roster in the country, the returning Heisman winner at QB, 3 starters back on the OL, the best transfer RB, ALL the top WR transfers (on top of a WR room already bursting with 4/5 star signees), and on defense all they had was the returning, experienced Will Anderson (the defensive player getting preseason Heisman hype - fully deserved) and Dallas Turner, surrounded by 4-and-5 star upperclassmen. Bama not finishing with a Top-10 scoring defense and losing two regular season games this season after being the overwhelming favorite to win it all should be THE offseason story. Bama having not finishing with a Top-10 scoring defense since finishing #10 in 2018 has gone COMPLETELY under the radar. The ferocity has been draining from the Bama defense for years, now. It's because the source of that ferocity came home to Athens.

This is Kirby's third (3rd) national title appearance since he began coaching at Georgia in 2016. Curiously, why isn't that mentioned? That's incredible. The program has 3 national title appearances (won 2 of 3 ), 2 x SEC Championship titles, and were 5 × SEC Eastern Division Champs...in a mere 7 years. (??) They've been consistently very good, even top tier many seasons, for the past 20 years, which is something most teams haven't accomplished on a year-after-year basis, e.g., Mark Richt averaged 10 wins-per-season, throughout the entirety of his 15-year tenure prior to the K. Smart coaching transition. Point: Open your eyes and paint the whole picture; it's closer than you think.

I don’t like this dynasty talk because you need to take a year at a time. We all know every year is different. But please stop with the “our players were injured and that’s why we lost” injuries are all part of the game and that’s why you have depth on all positions. Know a lot will not agree but Alabama does not have dominant defenses like they used to have and that hurts them. Georgia has a good balance on both sides and they are dominant at it. I wanna know how this doesn’t sound like the start of a dynasty? I can’t think of a another team right now in a better position coming out of the SEC. The 3 best teams in the SEC are Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. Alabama is losing guys to draft and transfer portal, the biggest names being Bryce Young and Will Anderson. Tennessee lost Hendon Hooker and doesn’t get the recruits that Alabama and Georgia does. Georgia is returning a bunch of guys. Minimal loss in the transfer portal. Had a top 2 recruiting class. And their QB next season has already started getting reps. Basically played in almost every fourth quarter this year.

Complacency is NOT gonna be a problem on a Kirby Smart coached team.

You can’t make a great pick unless you take great risk. Picking TCU over roughly half the SEC, especially UGA, is a great risk. The league they’re in isn’t even close to the SEC and it showed.

Yes, GA has made a amazing accomplishment with the back to back, but Bama is still recruiting amazingly & is still a program that is in contention for National titles. Their dynasty may very well still be Rolling.

Anyone that has ever played competitive sports knows every player is subject to a good, bad, or mediocre performance every time they play. And sometimes the individual you’re playing directly against is just better or is just playing better than you in that particular game.
