2:40 What is the purpose of adding a background color before u start coloring? I’ve seen people do it a lot but idk why. And why do you erase some of that background color later on? For example you erased the background color for the hair and hair accessories.

I'm curious how arrist are able to keep their attention span on a single drawing and have it completed in a single go, I have a hard time focusing on drawings even when I'm invested in it leading to even the most basic of drawings taking between the range of a month to complete
