I checked Orange County Sheriff policy and it does say they must identify themselves by name and badge number. When you asked him and he refused to tell you it shows he has no regard for the public who he should be serving. At that point, in my opinion, he has absolutely zero authority over you. They had no right to approach you but at least the younger officer followed policy. It’s too bad the older cops attitude makes all law-enforcement look bad and widens the gap between law-enforcement and the community. Great job on this audit. Keep up the good work, thanks!

The older heavier thug cop doesn’t get the fact that he’s gonna look stupid on RU-vid. Optics are everything when it comes to a police department and the individual policeman. This guy does not look good. He is a accustom to running over people and getting his way whether it be legal or illegal. As I always say in these posts if a picture is worth 1000 words a video is worth 1 million words. You should take these cops for a long walk. Make them move their feet go to the other gate. Make sure you always post the police department and telephone numbers. I never recommend calling the police department to complain about an officer his demeanor. The call goes to one person and they can ignore you. If you leave a voicemail it can be easily delete it. If you post something on RU-vid it’s going to be around for a long time. Just remember if you file a complaint against this guy in the complaint you can add these words: “I will testify against this officer and his actions for any attorney defending someone he has mistreated” This will show any attorney checking on his record that he has had interactions with civilians before that didn’t go well.

If it wasn't for getting out of a cop car, i would have thought he was military. Its getting hard to tell the difference.

Cop refused to identify himself a dozen times, purposely blocks his name, blocks you from filing complaints against him. Real professional.

Here we go again...my hope is someone of rank in this department views this video and takes action against this very rude and disrespectful police officer. The problem we have today with police mistrust will only perpetuate as long as these type of officers train the new officers. The senior officer acts extremely unprofessional and is confrontational. I hope the auditor follows through with a written complaint against him. I hope that will help contribute to him never receiving a promotion to a higher rank. Be safe...

SGV - after him refusing to identify a couple times state "I want to file a complaint on you and need your identity" so when he once again refuses you can include that he obstructed the complaint process and concealed his identity knowing you wanted to file a complaint... then ask his partner as well so when he refuses to identify him you can include his thin blue line buddy in his own complaint for obstructing the complaint process... P.S. a two-fer... (obviously the guy intentionally was interfering with your cameras by following and moving his hands in front of your cameras, he needs the whole book thrown at him, but please in the future, ask their partner to identify them, so they can get disciplined too)

File an escalation and battery complaint on him, Thouse stick on personal records. Along with a copy of the video and mention the copy turned in on the complaint. Not just that it is on RU-vid make an actual copy. Do a foia for all radio, audio Including cellphone records and text messages, despatch reports and supervisor reports for that day.

I love what the 1st Amendment auditors are doing!! The only thing I wish is that all of you (Big Nick, HDWC, Johnny 5-0, SJVT and too many to name) would always have someone else with a camera! While I believe that some will say it defeats the purpose to do that, I would be so very sad for one of these tyrants to attack one of you from the back or blind side and the only recorded evidence is what the police department produces. It's moments like this when you need to have a long telescopic pole that you can attatch your main video camera and lift way above the cops so as to see beyond the gates/walls. This way their interferance can't get in the way of your camera and your business.
