OC Transpo Canada Day: Daytime Downtown Core Operations 

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is Canada's nation's capital. Ottawa is the place to be for the annual Canada Day celebration and festivities (every year on July 1). OC Transpo is the main way to get to Downtown for Canada Day due to numerous street closures and limited parking.
Keys stops:
- Albert/Metcalfe (westbound) and Slater/Metcalfe (eastbound) is the closest bus stop for Parliament Hill
- MacKenzie King Bridge is the stop for Rideau Centre and to access the Byward Market, Majors Hill Park, and other areas in the Downtown area.

Note that the concrete barriers installed at various points began on Canada Day in 2018 for extra security. Buses were required to zig-zag through the concrete barriers as shown.
