What batteries you using? and can you still use the pedals and chain if you wanted to in connection with the electric motor? Where'd you get the rear sprocket and how did to bolt it on to the rear hub? I have the bike. I am wanting to electrify it for my grandson.
something weird though those hub do you need to give a back rotation nudge to allow to switch speed ? those i find around here seem to be the case that mean i wouln'd be able to change speed with motor only :S
For the 2 speed kick to shift types. (And even then a simple circuit could be made to do that if you really wanted to stock with the 2 speed kick to shift hub)

Hey do u still own this bike ? If yes. Can u provide some info ? What is The battery capacity and how far can it go on a single charge? Is motor overheating during long runs? How steep hill can you climb? Thanks for info
he must have gotten confused he meant kms , I build two of them with and can;t get them past 30 mpg , no matter how high I over volt them 50V , 60 and even 80 Volts.
@@mlow587 I planned on building something similar. I thought that because its not a hub motor it would be easier to try different sprocket / gear ratios toget the speed or torque you want . Is that not so?. I have a gas bike which im converting to a " mid drive" ...
Ohok I get it .... That 40MPH was going downhill with the wind helping you to hit 40 for 2 secs before that MY1020 burned out! LMaO must have burned out on this vid ...because it was never seen riding after it rolled downhill
Thankz!! & frm the vidz I never saw him going faster than 20MPH... In fact, if it was hitting 40MPH he wouldn't have changed it 2 a mid-drive system ...also from the bad gear ratio he had he NEVER rode it after the MID drive change over ...then he went str8 to a hub motor. He still haven't presented ANY GPS or other readings of speed like ALL the other real testers with speed achievements.. He must just rides & says "WoW this FEELS like I'm going 100MPH" LoL
