Today I use my brand new (to me) Occam’s Razor Hiram Cobra Commander Single Edge Thank you to Chris Bailey, David Gonzalez, and JR Gonzalez especially for providing me with this razor.

I have just received the Blackland Vector and I love mine.Sorry that it is not working out for you.I also have the Occam's Razor Enoch but I have not yet put the two up against each other.I get a great shave from both but at this time I prefer the Vector. You are right about the loading on the Vector,even with glasses, I went through the same things you did.The first thing I did was drop the blade,then I could not get the blade over the post,then I put the blade in backwards, and then put the top cap on backwards.I hope that I now have most of the learning curve out of the way. I also have the Blackland Dart.It is one of my better DE's but I think my best DE is my Alpha Outlaw.You should give it a go when you get the chance.

Great job Scott. I'm surprised you ended up preferring the Occam over the Vector. I think the Vector is excellent. I didn't care for the Occam due to that finicky loading and the potential for getting the blade in it improperly. Unless you get the blade in perfectly it will bow as it did with you. As you also noticed, the blade if inserted improperly can push up through the front of the razor. I liked the looks of the razor but sadly the blade loading and current price killed it for me:)
Yeah, so as you saw yesterday I really had a hard time loading it. But then I watched the video on Classic Shavings website. Today it went in much easier. The shave is brilliant. BUT there are issue for sure with the razor. I would NOT pay that price for a new one without these changes. Glad you liked spearhead soap also. If they keep their prices where they are at now, they’re gonna make a big splash.
I do as far as the shave goes, and also the design. Some other areas as you know are problematic. I’ll probably do a full review after I spend some more time with it.
Might have to try that razor. Really surprised me you didnt care for the Vector. Took me awhile to find the right angle on it. It is my fav SE. 2 passes and done even on the dome. Just shows the saying is true, YMMV. Good shave with the Cobra!
@@ScottRLeslie It is light, I agree but it can draw blood. If it doesn't work for ya, it does not. I Respect your opinion my friend. This is the only Blackland I own. Would like to try a Dart or Black Bird.
