OcCre's Nao Santa María Starter Model 

First of all: quite a fan of the Occre kits, having built Polaris and now finshing the Beagle. But this choice of subject and approach leaves me a little underwhelmed, even as a relatively inexperienced builder... There are already so many kits of the Santa Maria. And even on the video I seem to be seeing a lot of laminated wood in plain view on the final ship. Come on Occre, let's see some more really novel choices of ships. 🙂

As you actually have a lot of international customers I would appreciate, if you could at least add english subtitles 🙏

My question is, "Why?" A number of other companies already produce the Santa Maria. I think it's a good idea to introduce beginner kits to get more people interested in the hobby but how about a unique offering. By doing this, Occre is "the other company that makes the Santa Maria". Imo, Occre has made some questionable offering choices lately

I'm a fan of Occre. But, I've seen better models of Nao Santa María. It's not the cheapest kit on the market considering the level of detail. I'm sure Occre can came up with better kits that this one, even for begginers level

For several years now im thinking about starting with wooden ships. I probably would have finally bought that one, but i really find the proportions of the ship weird and off.
