It never began for me, I went from Iraq to South Spain, then to America in a public school, to then a mostly white Christian school and University and now South Spain again. I think most conservative pastors have no problem teaching that women should submit to their husbands, or that women should focus on the family. The problem is, no one really clarifies what this looks like in real life. But you are correct. The only way to save society is to remove women from all positions of authority- both in the church and in society. There are too many women who have made their careers their chief aim in life. Things like "a woman's place is in the kitchen" are not in the Bible, but what is in the Bible is this: "...Cursed is the one who trusts in man..." (Jeremiah ch.17) and blindly trusting in a man (her husband) is exactly what a stay at home wife does. Even if he doesn't abuse her he can still die in an accident or due to disease and the wife will be left unable to sustain herself and the children. The Bible even mentions women in leadership positions (Judges ch.4).

Women are able to work. But all their work should be based around the home. A woman is supposed to be a helper for her husband. The problem is, in modern society, women are trading the authority of their husband, for the authority of their bosses. And remember, public education is a recent invention. The woman's role also used to be to teach the children and train them properly. People were expected to work by the time they were teenagers. And also get married at a young age. Women couldn't just dump their kids at day care, while they could focus on their own pursuits

@@nerychristian We have to be realistic about the times. Most women may not be able to work near home or from home because most jobs require working away. Families' incomes vary and sometimes the extra cheque is required. Also, some women have been gifted with brains and intelligence that need to be challenged which if not used well can lead to frustration. Some jobs are more inclined towards women eg nursing or caring and most men may not be interested in them. What is required is balance and the participation of the state and spouses in working together so that parents are available for their children. The Nordic countries seem to adopt this method. A father's presence is also very necessary in a child's life and if they are away working for many hours so mum can be at home it's going to affect their children. I believe everything is about balance.
