Mods is something I want to get into! But I'm going to do a survival series where I use mods like this I think would be funner for me 😆 for now anyway, I won't say no to using it for a building video in the near future 🙌

Always remember. Remove harvestable rocks when placing pillars. If they go into the stone they may nor connect to actual ground and you won't be able to place cellings at some point. And don't forget. There's a solution for every problem in ark (except the performance hihi) Amazing build and im definitely gonna make use of it. I feel like with the terrain changes ASA made the beaches and shores the ideal base locations as some well-known spots like the hidden lake aren't flat anymore(mostly). Unless your brave enough to build in the swamps or Redwoods

So, I love the build. One thing I like to do with my beach builds is wood buildings and thatch roofs. Gives that tiki feel a lil more. I wish they had them in triangles for round builds like these.

I know literally it kills me that they don't have thatch triangle roofs because it would be PERFECT 😭😭. Its possible to clip through with the normal thatch roof but a lot of people on official wouldn't be able to do it, hence why I had to stick with the wood. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this 😆😆

I made it out of stone and used Bob's skins for wood, and I have frogs around the area to defend it, works great!

Thanks so much 😆 I just go into first person mode and turn off the HUD menu and when you move sideways your character usually hides his hands lol 😁 hope this helps

When doing the floors, your larger circle became a really distorted by the final row because you didnt alternate between square and triangles. If you alternate triangles on squares, squares on triangles. you stay closer to a circular shape.

Scuba Goggles assist with clarity in the water. I love this build! Might emulate this for my aquatic creatures. Thanks very much! Also, I've heard but not tested a gas mask in the water.(it's allegedly better than the scuba goggles.)

Nicely done! The only thing I would change practically is get rid of the ramps where you have the rafts since unsavory water dinos like to use ramps to get on your structures and ruin your day... Yes, I'm looking at you, Sarcosuchus. Oh no you don't Baryonyx, you also are not getting off the hook that easy.

I believe the relaxing song that plays through most of the video is called Bubblaine from Mario Odyssey 😁 the other songs include, Defino Plaza from Mario Sunshine and Main Menu theme from Pokemon Colosseum, hope this helps 😃

Thanks so much 😄😄, theres quite a few songs used here, mainly from mario! I think I used themes from Mario Sunshine, Mario Odyessy and possibly galaxy as well haha, I also used the theme from Pokemon Colosseum. Basically, all my favourite games haha - probably not everyones cup of tea 😅

Can you do this on ark survival evolved or just on ascended?

This is certainly achievable on ARK evolved, pillars won't be able to go sideways is the only difference and it's best to place pillars on buildings before the walls go in on evolved if that makes sense. (because if you put walls in first it wont let you put pillars into it unless youre using mods)... Short answer though - yes :D

instead of the Ramps i think rope ladders would be nicer for the optic view. Could be wrong about it but back than in Ark Survival Evolved when i build a Harbor it looked way better with rope ladders than Ramps

I made one based on this one. In my version, I used the same platform as the main hut, but I made the ceiling out of greenhouse structures, and then, the little platform where the stair connects before getting to the bridge to the second hut now connects with a second floor that goes around the base on the inside, basically an inner ring almost at the top that would be acting as a second floor but one that would around the border so that the industrial forge will have space at the center, and that ring is used for growing crops. For the bridge, instead of connecting directly to a second hut, it connects to a landing area for my flyers, which in time connects to a second hut that is huge and it's used for storing my creatures. That way, since it's a bigger "circle", I was able to use the pillars that hold it as the main structure to make it a cilinder that reaches the bottom of the ocean in that area, and the underwater part of that cilinder is the storage for aquatic creatures. It took me a few days since I am playing just a couple hours per day.

Omfg I've been struggling with base ideas since I got back into ark and with the release of asa I've been tearing my hair out. And everytime I've built a base I tear it down cause I don't like how good it looks or there's just not enough difference in materials.

@@LolsAtLance actually this one did however might I suggest a mod to you. Architect structures remastered and Klinger's additional concrete. Those two mods are so good and the structures remastered fixed the glass so it doesn't have that weird issue where it's grainy.

Sorry I no longer play on ARK evovled anymore :( But! This is actually mostly achievable on ARK evolved but a few minor things such as using sideways pillars XD

I actually took some of your techniques from this video I appreciate this awsome build. I liked the thatch roofs mixed with wood triangle roofs the mix made it pop out. Still work in progress lots of learning here on Xbox lol

Hey, as long as you're playing ARK Survival Ascended and not the old ARK Survival evolved' You will be able to place the pillars sideways by selecting the pillar then on Xbox controller pressing 'X' or on keyboard pressing 'R' ... Let me know if this works :)

Looks great. One suggestion would be to place a quarter wall where the pillars come up above the deck so you have a lower snap point so the pillars only sticks up half way, then remove the quarter wall. Might look better. 😊

This is a really good suggestion, when I was building it I was literally thinking I wish the pillars were a bit lower but I just didnt think about how I could do it haha. Awesome!😆 I'll have to try this! Thank you :)

Hmmm I think you need to go back under the base and repillar, you should be able to adjust them so theyre not, replace them bit by bit. I'm not entieraly sure but I think it should work

@@OldYTChannel436 hmmm That's okay if it's doing that I think. As long as it's keeping the structure up haha, when your using pillars on the actual building u need to place them down first, or theyll stick out of the build, so before u do the walls

@@LolsAtLance I found out if u make a pillar half above the ceiling and half below there’s 2 snap point at the bottom and when u place it in the second u can destroy the top pillar and then there’s no pillar sticking out and the ceiling is on top of it

I'm really looking forward to starting playing Ark: Survival Ascended, I haven't played it before I've only played one of it's counter parts which is PixArk. When I do start playing I'd really love to build this lovely build it looks just like an island resort which fits perfectly, also in general your builds are amazing and inspiring ❤

Amazing build! I would love to make this in my Lost Island server on ASE! I know it doesnt have as many bells and whistles as ASA, but I hope I can keep the spirit of your build haha. I have two suggestions for the next video! The first one being a wide ranch style build, with a focus on a large pen for the herbivore herd to wander in! Make it like cowboy themed and stuff yeehaw. The second suggestion would be something aimed at starting in survival - alternate layouts to break away from the 2x2 box base!

Thanks so much 😆, you'll still be able to make this build in ASE easily, just make sure you put any pillars that I put up the building walls down before the walls go in if that makes sense... you're the 2nd person to ask for a ranch build funnily enough 😆 so I'm 100 considering this, and I've actually done a video about breaking away from the 1x1 box, find it on my RU-vid channel 😆😆.. I'm also going to be releasing a survival video I hope next week at some point which is a bit of a change but I won't stop my building videos at all
