The most undervalued band from UK back in the day. I’ll never know why. I saw them twice in my hometown and it was unforgettable. They deserved F***ING WAY MORE than what they got. Maximum respect and thanks for being there in the late 90s!!
Couldn't say better myself. Them and jamming ( no pun intended) with The Modfather himself truly something to bear witness in real time. You just had to be there I suppose to really get it. Still very much the soundtrack to my life even now. The years just fall away. ❤
The problem was that they were INCREDIBLY boring. Not bad, not incompetent, not terrible. The band equivalent of someone whose favourite food is pizza and favourite film is the Shawshank Redemption.
The Story of this band from The fanatics to the classic line up of Ocean colour scene is fascinating. The luck these guys had in meeting guys like Paul Weller,Noel Gallagher and believe it or not Chris Evan's even helped put this band on the map. This song is absolute Rock N Roll perfection.
This is one of those songs I've heard a million times in pubs and indie bars etc but never knew it was OCS. Looking forward to seeing these guys for the first time next month

I remember standing at the front of the balcony at Shepherds Bush Empire when they blasted this out and I honestly couldn't believe that wall of sounds was coming from three instruments. Looking out a the crowd below and the band was absolutely mind-blowing.
I love everything about this song. The riff, the rhythms, the atmosphere. When I heard it first time in the movie Lock, stock, and two smoking barrels, I loved it immediately. The solo, riffs, and the structure of the song are just amazing and so creative and impactful. So many tricks in one track, love the technique. The video is also amazing, so much energy. Lock, stock brought a bunch of music to explore for me in my early 20's. I love that movie and learn the whole script from my memory. Crazy times, crazy memories. This song can bring all that back within a seconds. It's truly genius stuff. Thank you.
You can tell the true quality of a band from the b-sides..!!! Ocean colour scene do not disappoint. Hello Monday I’d literally one of the most beautiful songs ever..!!!
Saw these guys at the Rivermead Centre Reading at my friends recommendation, they opened with this song and from there the show got better & better, truly a 5 star night.
I think this song is absolutely amazing and never gets old probably one of the all time brit songs of all time, I love the different chord changes, such a busy and demanding song but so easy on the ear with tranquility, the drums to this song are so technically demanding but so expertly executed also, masterpiece in music. Just love it ❤
Saw these guys support Oasis in 1996 and they were astonishing! They blew Oasis away! After that I went to see OCS every chance I got. Without doubt the best musicians of the britpop era!

When you think about it, these guys have possibly delivered the two best rock tracks (Hundred mile high city and The riverboat song) and the best ballad (Get blown away) of the 90's (and beyond I'd say).

Ugh, I love this song. I wouldn't have heard it if not for lock stock but it's such a great tune. It's the songs fault my foot pushes down on the gas so hard.
