In this video I show you how to tie the ocean plait mat, which is one of the most popular rope mats out there. This mat works great under hot dishes right out of the oven!
The mat is made using 1/4 inch (6mm) hemp rope. For a 4 pass version you would need about 27 feet (8.1 meters), while a 3 pass version can be made using about 20 feet (6 meters) of rope.
