@@sugarymushroom12 fuck yes. Swallow the sun. Seen them several times. Once with katatonia and insomnium in 2005. I think daylight dies was there too. That might have been 2007 . In Detroit.
Her style is very original. She's not your typical female metal vocalist. And she's just amazing anyway. Loving the freshness of her approach. The band was pretty damn good too.
I've got all the old Candlemass vinyl- nightfall is one of the most important records in my lifetime. Love this cover-it's both original and respectful.
Why does skin colour matter? No one is stopping a coloured person from performing music that they like. If they have talent and are good at it, let us judge them on their merits rather than focusing on skin for once. I know plenty of Chinese black metal bands for example who are all underground but are absolutely fantastic and nail what they do in every way. We all have rights in a Western civilisation to create metal music, though I understand not EVERYONE is interested in making it.
@@notwhoyouthink756 Oh my God, who cares! People say "people of color" all the time. I don't think the poster meant anything ill in the post. Grow up, kid.
I'm sitting here alone in darkness Waiting to be free Lonely and forlorn I am crying I long for my time to come Death means just life Please let me die in solitude Hate is my only friend Pain is my father Torment is delight to me Death is my sanctuary I seek it with pleasure Please let me die in solitude Receive my sacrifice My lifeblood is exhausted No one gave love and understanding Hear these words Vilifiers and pretenders Please let me die in solitude, yeah Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust Sitting here alone in darkness Waiting to be free Lonely and forlorn I am crying I long for my time to come Death means just life Please let me die in solitude, yeah Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust Earth to earth Ashes to ashes And dust to dust And please let me die in solitude
Love the original, love this one. They drag that riff through the mud. Awesome. And she does Marcolin proud on the vocals. PS: Lost in Vegas brought me here.
By the metal gods, how am I only just hearing this now? 4 years too late. That voice.. shit if I hadn't heard MM sing this back in the day I would bow down. In fact I do. @OceansOfSlumber you have more than done this justice. Respect 🤘
I love the idea of a newer band stepping into the past and covering such a worthwhile track clearly they have their roots firmly planted in real metal not paint by numbers modern dribble 😈😈😉
That was amazing!!! I'm so glad I came across this! I loved seeing, thus feeling, the singer's in-depth (solitude) of it all! Going to check out more from you guys for sure!!
Great Voice and Great cover !!! Candlelivemass Stills when the Runes Still Speak in Ancient Knowledgments !!! Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!

Black female singers are rare. Glad to see a sistah other than Butcher Babies, Satan's Vault Company, and Wicked Wisdom. Would Jessica Pimentel from Alakhine's Gun consider herself Black or just Latino? Anyway, got another band to prove my family wrong.
An amazing cover of an amazing song. I'd never heard of you guys till Lost in Vegas played your video for winter. Loved it. I honestly would have never discovered your amazing band otherwise. Can't wait to buy your album/albums.
***** You mean in metal? I only know of a few African bands, Wicked Wisdom (Jada Smith's band), Butcher Babies, Kittie, Alakhine's Gun and Satan's Vault Company.
Kamilian Donkeypunchyou that was so ignorant im thinking you might be a troll if not you don't understand the culture of metal music, a large percentage of metalheads are racist and sexist sadly, females and blacks have not had a long history with popularity, in the past 5 years so many barriers have been broken and its wonderful.. the reason her being black is shocking is less than 2% of black people listen to metal/rock because its not support by the black community or peers, everyone is excited to see that black people are starting to become famous in metal and it opens doors for black fans... slow down and calm your tits...
Kamilian Donkeypunchyou everything you said is wrong, you go to a metal concert lately ? its mostly all white and sadly ive had multiple metalhead friends that are extremely racist im not friends with them anymore, racism is still very real if you didn't know, nothing I hate more than a racist... you clearly are blowing this into a level of butthurt ive never seen b4 lol... I live in a city with a pretty large percentage of blacks my whole life, its rare for blacks to like metal but times are changing and its great, that's the point I was making that clearly went over your head, rock and modern metal are 2 different things... if you think blacks don't have a hard time being black you're racist its as clear as day and horrible fyi my girlfriend is part black btw...
it makes me so happy to see a song from one of my favorite bands Candlemass still being played & covered by other awesome bands such as this one, wow truly an inspiration
