Doom is certainly a big part of our musical background and we've wanted to play this song our way, in some form or fashion, for a long time. Tracked live at Origin Sound with Craig Douglas at the helm.
Holy shit! As a black girl myself I am not only inspired musically but so relieved. It shows how opened-minded this genre can be. I was always scared to start my own band because people were so mean about my race but man!!! I don't even think of that anymore. I just jam out. And so does she! Glad I found this band they have great sound and great promise as well
Kiwi Holmes Yes maam as a big candlemass fan and a white dude, the band is good but her voice truely makes the song great.I have to say it's one of the best covers i've ever heard. As for you sweetheart, If you are starting a band,I wish you the very best. And if your good it does not matter what color your skin is as long as you're good.Take care Kiwi I hope to someday see you and your band on youtube.
I've never heard of this band before, but I bow down in adoration. Best Solitude cover -- no, generally best Candlemass cover -- EVER. Outstanding drums. And who's that girl? Her voice, her charisma, her looks -- she's absolutely amazing!
Accidentally came across this cover and must admit- well done. Not repeating note by note of the original but giving your own interpretation of this epic song. Greetings from Russia. Last but not least: the black panther at the microphone is charming both visually and vocally.
Fantastic change of lineup. What a great way to grow into a better band. Brilliant, seriously. Also, props to your engineer, he has done a fine job too. I am so excited to hear all the things you have yet to write.
Just heard this for the first time on a Spotify playlist. Anybody that covers Candlemass is automatically a great band....though I've been listening to the playlist for almost an hour now. Sucks I am just today hearing this band for the first time.
This performance is flat out amazing on all levels. I wish I liked the original material from Oceans of Slumber band as much as their cover. You play more true doom like that, you'll have a a lot of new lifelong fans !
This song still gives me such great chills since it came out. Love this bands viciously doomy sound. The voice of a goddess within the mirky mire calling my soul to come hither, i shall follow ♥ 🖤 ❤️🔥❤️🔥🤘😈🤘❤️🔥🤘🎙🎶🎶❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I love ou so much for this. I should have said it years ago, because I've only recently just subscribed to you, but I love your music so much. And Candlemass had a uniquely hardcore sounding type of Doom Metal that you capture in all of your music in a way I never imagined. Thank you.
That was really really good. I've never seen a band fronted by an African woman either. She's very expressive and her voice has qualities that remind a lot of blues and R&B, but actually lend themselves to heavy music surprisingly well. also, I enjoy the creative liberties taken with the song, the double bass and tremolo picking was a cool touch.
Impressive. And still an understatement of the talent on display here... Now my wishlist for this band: - Lost Control - Anathema - Apocaplyse Woman - My Dying Bride - Leper Affinity - Opeth - One Second - Paradise Lost
I do love the way she sings "torment is delight to me" in a very sexy manner. I've already heard "Bewitched" performed by a woman, but this one is a killer. I will look for the CD.
Absolutely great cover of a musical masterpiece. But, the drummer should ease down on the fills. The constant use of fast fills destroys the heaviness of the song.
