What a fun time in Oceanside! So many great places to dine, shop and enjoy the city's spectacular views. Plus, Mission San Luis Rey is such a spectacular piece of O'side history - known as the "King of the Missions" for being the largest of CA's missions. We hope to welcome you back to Oceanside soon!
I grew up in Vista right next door and my husband and I now live in Oceanside since 1976 4 yrs after we got married. . My husband and I were married at the San Luis Rey Mission church 50 yrs ago in Dec.
The stuffed yam at the Plot looks really good! Great video overall. Definitely brings back memories. I loved staying at the Finn Hotel and eating the Switchboard restaurant. Next time you’re in Oceanside, I want to suggest vigilante coffee in south Oceanside. One of my favorites to get coffee in the entire city! Buccaneer beach and the Buena Vista Lagoon are also worth checking out.
Great idea - we will def do a video of North vs South Oceanside. So many great coffee shops have popped up within the last year or so! The whole city has gotten a major revamp.
@@RunTheAtlas yes! I was very surprised by how many new restaurants and coffee shops were opening just in the downtown area! Almost every one I stopped in were only a year or two old and this was 2022! Still love going back!
Nice Video Thank You for coming to Oceanside. Much of Animal Kingdom is filmed in Oceanside and even the Bring It On outdoor competition was filmed at the stage just south of the pier below the Top Gun house. You should have checked out the harbor while you were here. Oceanside is also the home of the largest All womens surf competition. The SuperGirl Pro.
@@artsyhyd it’s still the Top Gun house but just being utilized. There are pics online of what it looks like. Even have Top Gun pics hanging on the walls.
Love the city. Hate the council. Especially you Kori Jensen. Gentrifying this beautiful city & trying to push native locals more towards the valley. City of the O is here to stay. Diversity is here to stay. Culture is here to stay.
It’s in downtown , it’s supposed to have lot of construction. That gentrification shit would make sense if they were pushing people out of neighborhoods but this is all the downtown area not in Eastside, Tri-City, or the Valley neighborhoods. Plus most of these new buildings are being built in land that was just empty, or they either removed parking lots to make hotels but they didn’t really move homes for these new buildings. I think Oceanside should have way more high rise buildings. It’s the third largest city in the San Diego Metro Area, it needs to look like it too.
It’s real!! Super historic house, they moved it from its original location in Oceanside, painted it and refurbished it so it looks totally different now. It’s now a pie shop 🥧
