In October the Goodwill thrift stores put military uniforms donated through the year in their Halloween section. Every year I bring home something good, this year I got USN digital trousers and a Gen1 ECWS parka that still had a pair of nomex pilots gloves in the pocket. All were like new and very inexpensive. Now just stay away from the store on the Midway in St.Paul, Minnesota so I don't regret the tip.
I think the problem is some what camo patterns to stand out, to be distinctive especially for branches or units. Which is just plain insane but what some are doing such as the US Air Force's ABU pattern that was thankfully retired.
