I’m also a big Pilot iroshizuku ink fan and I’m kicking myself for not getting Kiri-same sooner. Now it’s been sold out or price-hiked most places 🙁. You mentioned pink tones, would Diamine Earl Grey be somewhat comparable? Thanks for your videos!
Earl Grey is much darker than Kiri Same and doesn't have the same shading level, but it is a similar tone. I feel that Kiri Same is a bit warmer though.
Absolutely LOVE your ink videos. I'm super glad you mentioned the kiri-same being discontinued because after watching this I had to snag a bottle. It's absolutely stunning!!! It arrived today and I immediately inked up my TWSBI Eco in fine nib.
Your videos are so informative. Especially for a complete newbie like me. Your voice is also very calming. My psychiatrist recommended that I start journaling since my insurance is giving me issue with finding a psychologist. Knowing how I am she said that I needed to make it a hobby. So, your frankenjinhao! I've been curious since I see a lot of fountain pen RU-vid people saying they love jinhao but then it always turns out they put a Jowo or some other nib on, and that makes me wonder why they bother! Do you use the jinhao nibs? They are suspiciously affordable on Amazon! 🤣
I do use the Jinhao nibs, but they are not as good as the Jowo nibs so I can understand why some people would swap them out :) The Jinhao nibs are hit or miss, though. Some have great flow, others are scratchy, but with a "cheap" pen I can understand the lack of quality control.
