She really is the baby in the group. Just about everything about her makes me want to rub her head like a proud parent or an adorable puppy. Just too precious for this world.
@@TheElementsAreWithMe Well, considering how light-hearted and low-stakes her story is compared to most of the travellers (Hikari and Ochette being the most drastic examples), it makes sense. Agnea's tale feels more like a comedy than an epic adventure, and I'm pretty sure that's intentional (It's downright hilarious either way). But it also implies an interesting story: Let's say you start the game as Hikari and his prologue ends with his city and people gone up in flames and left to the mercy of his tyrannical brother. He sets off on a quest to find allies in a desperate crusade to rescue and redeem his kingdom... and he runs into this cheerful girl from a village out in the woods, who trips over herself when she first meets him and professes she wants to one day be a famous star! That kind of innocent joy and optimism might just give Hikari the strength he needs to continue on. Every time he feels despair, Agnea is there to cheer him up without even trying to. Agnea completes her quest with Hikari's aid and all seems right in the world. Then Hikari turns around and heads back to Ku, to fulfil his destiny. Agnea is now faced with a drastically different kind of adventure. One involving bloodshed, betrayal and a very real chance of not making it back home alive. And she charges into battle alongside the rest of the party anyway. There's so much more potential to this story than I can explain here, but just know that I find it extremely compelling.
I'm sort of reminded of how in Octopath 1, Alfyn comments on how how enjoyment of a brothel is lost on him, with Primrose responding that if Alfyn desires the company of a woman, he doesn't need a brothel for that. I think she even offers to be the one to provide said company.
