Octopath Traveler 2 - "Battle on the Sea" [METAL VERSION] 

I'd say TotK has a better chance of taking it. Octopath 2 sounds great, but compositionally it plays things pretty safe for the most part. TotK is really innovative and creative while still being high quality, so I think it will be more noticeable and remembered. I've seen a lot of people say FFXVI has a good chance, but I completely disagree. The absurdly low-quality of the instrumental samples used I think should disqualify it alone. A $70 game using violin synths from what sounds like a gamecube sound card is just kind of insulting when every other triple A game for the last decade has been using either live orchestras or synths that sound indistinguishable from live instruments. That said, if Octopath 2 won best score I would not complain in the slightest.
