In todays video I am going over EVERYTHING that happened to my Quest 2 after 100 Days of owning it in an HONEST Review. From deadpixels, a cracked screen, poor tracking, but yet a TON of AMAZING VR Gaming I list my experiences with this headset and what I hope to see out of the Oculus Quest 3 & 4 as well as how it stacks up to the the KING of VR Headsets; The Valve Index

The biggest thing that changed is my understanding of how people will interact in the future. If the quest feels so good now, I can't imagine the tech in 25 years. It's almost scary how different the world will be in the future!

Mine was a launch day order, gets used every day and has been well looked after..still looks like it just came out of the box. My IPD is 71mm but I dont get any eyestrain. Often play until the battery wears out. Ive owned every set since Oculus DK2 and nothing but praise for it. Now running in some games at 120 hz and all my PC Vr running wirelessly. I cant really believe it. I have over 240 PC Vr games/apps between Steam and Oculus on PC. I thought this review was going to have a bit if negativity but its not representative of most ppls experience I dont think. And I like the original strap more than the Elite.its fine. Theyve really done a great job to bring VR to the masses at $300..

I''ve had my quest 2 for about 2.5 months and one week in I moved my head a little to fast and my headset flew off my head and hit my ceiling and then hit the bottom of my chair. some how that only left a small scratch. kudo's to Facebook for making the headset so durable.

From my experience, both the headset and the controllers seem like they've been manufactured by fucking Nokia. I have dropped the headset many times (as well as my brothers) and I haven't noticed any damage. My only concern is the battery life has greatly shortened.

I dropped my headset once a few months back about 1 month in and now everything is twice as laggy and sometimes I can see black where it hasn't loaded. Other than that its put up a fair fight...

I got my quest 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Being my first experience with VR. I really enjoy beat saber and eleven table tennis, which is also where my biggest mistake happened: trying to lean forward on the table to smash the ball seemed great, except there was no table and I face planted myself into the floor.

About a week after I got my Quest 2, I was playing Half Life Alyx over AirLink and a headcrab leaped at me and hugged my face. As an arachnophobic, I panicked and dropped the controllers to the ground before essentially launching the Quest 2 across my bedroom floor... Luckily, No Quests were harmed in the process. Not even a scratch! 😌

I just got my Quest 2 about a month ago. this is my first experience with VR. I haven't had anything bad happen to it yet and I hope nothing ever does. I have been absolutely amazed at this whole new world of gaming. Great video!

My quest 2 has done pretty well for the 6 months I've had it. It's gotten a couple of scratches on the controllers from so intense sessions in Battle Talent and Gorn (I get a little too into them) and Beat Saber. But overall colour me impressed. I did a stress test on the headset and it actually handled itself pretty well. The only issue I had was after my niece finished trying it out she put it back into the case I had it in without turning it off and because it was in a dark place it assumed that someone still had the headset on, causing it to not auto sleep. It happened to be a really really hot day and the headset did overheat. This caused me to have a little bit of a rattley fan for a week or so but after a while it kinda sorted itself out. Weird but kinda understandable. Overall amazing headset! Keep up the good work too my man, loving these videos ✌

I've had my quest 2 for about 2 months and I ended up smashing my controller into multiple things and ended up breaking my finger upon doing it, but there is no damage to the controllers

I've had my quest 2 for about a week now. This is the first VR setup I've owned and have only briefly used my brothers HTC Vive previously. I'm impressed with out stand alone and simple to setup the quest 2 has been and have been mostly into Beat Saber since getting it. I look forward to other VR experiences in the future and to explore the full potential of this device.

First month was amazing! Have had it for 4 months. 100% agree with your tracking issues and general usage of controls. The guardian has also shown some issues with updates which leads me to believe it could be a tracking issue with that. Thanks for video keep it up

My first hundred days with my quest was great and I can’t stop playing echo vr and luckily my headset is still alive but I wouldn’t say the same thing with my mirror and hand from punching it and seeing your videos has help me a lot by choosing the right games for me and tips to not wreck my quest 2

For the IPD adjustment issue - The quest 2 IPD adjustment "clicks" in to place, but they're pretty good staying between either of the hard stops. For example i have my quest 2 IPD set up in-between the middle out widest setting because that gives me much less eye strain. So again, you don't have to use on of the 3 settings - just don't use the hard stop settings if you get eye strain.

I’ve had my headset for just over 2 months, and the back strap was only a minor issue for me, maybe because the only game I play is beat saber, but a nice back pad from VRcover easily fixed that (which you recommended in one of your previous videos), along with the silicone face cover that goes over the headsets stock face padding. A big issue I’ve noticed was the tracking, as it’s incredibly difficult to play intense expert+ songs. When I’m swinging the controllers too quickly it seems to miss blocks if I end up going faster then the tracking can handle.. and that’s after I set the controls to the higher performance for tracking in the settings, specifically on songs like ghost and overkill. In my opinion, absolutely worth the 400$ (bought the 256gb memory) overall abs super easy to transport! Give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars for everything the headset has to offer.

the first few months of having my quest 2 was amazing and I was lucky enough to have gotten it early so around almost 120 days or so. I had no problem with the headset then besides getting used to the headstrap and being in VR as this was my first headset, It did scratch glasses lenses on each side but nothing for the headset itself. Now I am experiencing tracking problems even in perfect lighting that worked flawlessly when I first got the headset. Overall I would rate the headset a 7/10 because of the IPD, comfortableness, and tracking making things a little difficult to use for long periods of time but I still would recommend it to people who want to get into VR for its price ease of use, I get in VR as often as I can and for up to 8 hours at a time.

3 months in ,I was using my quest 2 with headphones. My hand caught the cord during a quick movement and messed up my headphones cord as well as the jack on my quest, so I can only hear through one side if I plug headphones in😑

I just bought an Oculus Quest 2 a couple days ago from Walmart and so far I am LOVING it! The first hour or so of using it I could see what you were talking about with the disgusting sweaty face pad, but mine actually came with a free silicone one, so that's great. I don't understand why they couldn't just get rid of the other one and put the silicone one on it in the first place, but I'm satisfied. My favorite game on it is Beat Saber. Your videos are VERY helpful, unlike other RU-vidrs who spend literally 10 minutes for the intro. You're the man, man. :)

Ive had mine since december, and everything has been so nice, Nothing has broken (I may or may not have chipped some paint off my wall trying to throw a grenade in pavlov and the controller and my hand somehow survived) and the only replacement I've gotten was the free face piece because the stock one was _totally_ giving me irritation. I play mainly pavlov but I would love to try synth riders, it looks very immersive and the rails feel nice because my right shoulder feels like its going to explode after I grind spin eternally on beat saber. Your content has really made me appreciate my quest more, as I've been seeing what you've been doing with it, and how it compares to others. Dont change this content pls.

I’ve had my quest since December and I only changed the batteries on the controllers like two to three times and I love it, only dropped it once and got a little scratches on the controllers but other than that it’s in fine condition!

Weird, i have been using my Quest 2 daily for about 6 months and it's still pristine, and i have even hit my wall very hard with the controllers multiple times while playing Blade and Sorcery. I'm not even experiencing battery issues, which seem to be the most common problem people experience with it.

Yeah im really glad they stepped up from the original quest touch controllers. They would always break really quickly in the exact same spot on the tracking ring. Like fr I saw so many other people posting about the controllers would break right down the oculus logo.

Had my quest 2 for three months. Had my elite strap crack for excessive use and adjusting from smallest to largest sizes. Dropped my quest a few times, and controllers flung into the wall at least 5 times, still tracking and working fine, but my battery life has shortened by I would say 20%. I enjoy your content keep up the good work.

In my quest 2’s first hundred days, I have shamed the thing by using a single rubber band to attach my own battery to it, rather than get the elite battery strap. It’s still in mint condition though.

I attached a 20000 mAh battery to my cheap headstrap replacement. I now charge the battery once in two days. Adding the battery also helped balance weight distribution, making wearing the thing more comfortable.

I've only had a quest 2 for about a month, but I have used it almost every day. The eye and head strain got to me a bit in the beginning but the eyes got used to it and a new head piece is otw. Loving it and have had no problems tech wise. Wish the battery was longer though. Thank you for your videos, I've referred to you for every question and I have not been let down!

Something like Mass Effect, made for VR. HL Alyx set the bar. Majority of VR games seem to be horde/rail/cover shooters. I’ve had my Quest 2 now about three months, used tonplay every day but now maybe twice a week. Still loving it and will not sell, but rhythm and rail shooting games are not my thing.

I've had my headset since Christmas 2020. Dont have any complaints with the headset or controllers. I think i have punched the wall 10 times with the controllers while playing gorn and they barely even have a scratch. I did have to go on vr cover and replace the crappy sweat absorbing foam pad that the quest originally had. Thanks for making videos they have been a great help!

I had my Quest2 hit the floor the second week, when i accidently nudged it one day. Panicked a bit, haha. No visible scratches or damaged though, so all good. A random note though, I have long eyelashes and I've actually been playing with the glasses extender on. It's been great actualy and I can't really feel any lack of FOV or anything. So that's a tip for anyone with the same problem. Great videos btw GetHip, Its been very informative and interesting as someone who bought a headset pretty recently.

I got my quest 2 probably about 3 months ago and so far it has been great except that the strap never really fit right but even when it would slide out of place. Now I’m saving up for a HTC Vive strap with the adapter. Love your vids !!

3 weeks ago I`ve bought my very first VR headset, the Oculus Quest 2, which I was so hyped for from the first time I`ve played on it the Beat Saber at my local game store. Well, the first thing I`ve done after receiving the kit was to install the glasses spacer and jumping into that Beat Saber, only to realize that after a short session the spacer appeared to be not enough causing one of my lenses were scratched by my glasses. Luckily the scratch is on the top of the lens and isn`t too visible so I can still have fun, but the first scratch always hurts the most. Remember kids, when you want to have fun, always use proper safety gear like rubber anti-scratch rings which were the very first thing I`ve bought right after that little accident. Everyone have fun with VR !

Thank you for being honest. I’ve been wanting to get the quest 2 and no one has talked about all the eye issues. It’s definitely making me a lot more cautious when I do buy a headset. People need to know this information so people can protect their eyes.

to be honest I didn't even try different ipd options for like a month or more as I didn't care and didn't seem like that big of a difference. And then you stil can place the lenses between 1 and 2 or 2 and 3. Lot of channels talks about it that you can leave them in the between and it will not snap as nicely but still stays there. Mine is set in like 2,5 as it seemed like the most centered to my eyes, but I have no idea what my IPD is, it's on that position since half a year : D. Sometimes I use it for hours with link cable, flying in mfs2020 etc and it's all perfect, I have it since december, nine months! My fitness routine is 2 hours of blade and sorcery. Again no issues. So I'm not sure about GetHip findings in this review. I have none of the issues he mentions. It's first time I ever hear about them. Only once more I read about guys saying their eyesight seem to degraded, but they admitted later on that they are in their 70s so it could be just age thing. :D

I have had mine since launch, got it from a RMA of the Rift S, i only occasionally use it now. I bought the elite strap without the powerbank and that works really good still, no cracks and no nothing. Never dropped the headset though, so in very good condition. Mine still have good battery, think it is still around 2 hours maybe abit less in some titles. Awesome video!!!!

I have also experienced a lot of issues with the ipd settings on the quest as none of them fit me and I use it in the middle of 3 and 2 but it’s still not quite right, I have also experienced headaches and other physical problems with my eyes because of this and I’m glad you talked about it as I haven’t really seen anyone else speak about it much, I really hope oculus change this in future headsets as it’s more serious than most other problems.

If you move the lenses slow enough, you can adjust them in any direction or placement, I have mine a little lower than in between 1 and 2

I've been watching your videos for a while now and bought my quest 2 like 3 weeks ago. I could not be more happy of this thing, because it's so good for the price. I dropped my controller twice but it doesn't seem to be broken at all :) I had big issues with the oculus software and steam VR but at the end everything is fine. The PD thing is still in my head.. I had trouble with eye strain after long sessions, but i am not sure how i see that the PD is set correctly for me. Well, it's okay for now, but i want to take care of my eyes.. And I love your videos. They really helped me deciding what vr headset I should buy :D

Alot of fun and amazing gameplay. I never had a VR headset before so I have nothing to compare it to but I beleive this is one of the best.

TY for the info. I have only had mine for about a month. I turn it off every night. Sometimes when I turn it on it takes almost two minutes to be ready to go and it forgets my place space about 20% of the time. overall I am really happy with it. thanks again for all the info, it is very helpful!

Thank u for the sincerity. I bought mine yesterday from a person that used for 8 months. It costed 2900 BRL, a new one is 3250 BRL (2021 minimum wage in Brazil is 1100 BRL / 215 USD) but I hope it's worth the cost! Looking forward for the shipment and arrival 😀

My b-day is coming up and this makes me wanna get a oculus quest 2, sense my computer can barley even run ANYTHING I am happy that I can finally get a VR that is able to be played on. Can't wait!

I got my quest 2 back in march. Within the first week of owning it (I am a clumsy person) I dropped it NINE TIMES! it didn't scratch or get damaged and I am still using it to this day. I absolutely love the headset!

VR Cover replacement facial interface is a must, plus that AMVR TPU headstrap add on has made my Q2 quite comfortable for long play sessions.

first few months, still can play for half q dqy in one sitting, sweat in it (did not drop it yet), and the quest 2 helped me convince my mom that VR is awesome! Thanks for the great honest videos btw!

Only two months in for me. But I love it. Blows away the old Vive that I tried a few years ago. Best of both worlds on the link cable and stand alone.

loved this video, I've had my vr for the same amount of time and my tracking has been off. I don't really know what's to do tbh. I do however love playing beat saber (being that's the only game I've spent money on). I would love a new game:)

Still have my quest since launch week, the only problem I've had is when my right controller got stuck in one position and I couldn't get it to work properly; I contacted Facebook to get a replacement for the right controller, and bam got a new replacement. So far so good! 🔥

thank you for the video. I've ordered my quest2 last week and I'm looking forward to it. I didn't like my Rift & Rift S because of all the cables. Moreover my brother has all the time problems with his Index headset. He returned his left controller 4 times and his headset is right now getting replaced
