Usopps fruit should be Orochi's hydra fruit. Except instead of him using it, it should be fed to his Kabuto. The combination attacks from a multi-headed kabuto would increase his potential drastically
I feel like Sanji would benefit most from Smoker's fruit, actually. He smokes himself, gets the ability to sort of become invisible like he always dreamed, and more importantly: Smoke meats.
I actually like that so many of the straw hats DONT have devil fruits, it makes thier skills and abilities all feel so much more natural and creative. And on top of that, how crappy would the show be if none of the main characters could ever get in the water...

To be honest I see sanji more of a tori tori no mi: model phoenix user. He can expand his cooking to even heal people, kinda like pearl jam in jjba, and considering he only uses his legs to attack, the talons would be an added bonus.

He also learned to manipulate the heat generated from electricity to melt gold. His simple use of his fruit was not because he didn’t know any better, but because it’s all he needed to take out anyone near him in an instant lol

Honestly I think the devil fruit that would be "strongest" (not best fit) for Zoro would be Jozu's diamond fruit. Zoro already has disgusting levels and future potential for offensive destructive capability. And his even greater feature is his toughness. He's not the most defensive, meaning he can be hit by people considerably weaker than him (Apoo etc.) But he's shown top 10 levels of being able to get hit and still be able push through and win despite all the damage he takes. If he obtained the diamond fruit and suddenly his passive defense is at a level where most people can't harm him even if he just stood there, he would become truly broken.
I like it but i believe that jozu's fruit would fit sanji better, with fantastic offense, his defense got mind blowing, sanji's naturally tough body+ regen+ exoskeleton+CoA coating+diamond df coating might as well render AdvCoc useless, he might have nigh Indestructible skin, a ancient white tiger mythical zoan might suit zoro best
Yeah I agree there a several fruits that would thematically fit his personality more. Hence the "(not best fit)" part of my statement. Just thought if he's hard to put down now when his body is, shall I say, "fleshy vulnerable", then he'd be nigh impossible to take down with diamond skin. And I think he'd still be able to move just fine. Jozu did perform a nice quick diamond shoulder check to Aokigi and made his mouth bleed. And when he redirected Mihawks slash both arms were completely diamond and he had no issues moving his arm joints, so I think the same would apply to leg joints.
Honestly, nami getting the god like goro goro fruit fits her perfectly, seeing as thunderbolts is her signature attack, and being logia would be incredible for her

He honestly was not too dependent on his power. We saw him repeatedly show prowess in using his staff in it's many forms. His fruit is incredibly strong, but that doesnt mean he was TOO dependent on it.

I also have a strange feeling like devil Frist are so rare that they never found one but other pirate groups which are lesser known found devil fruits randomly. Ope ope no mi was found by not so well known pirate group.
I feel like Big Mums fruit could fit Nami. Then, Nami could have a Zeus right under her control. If big mom ever dies, it would regrow somewhere. Now what if it grew on Nami’s tangerine tree? That tree has been irrelevant for quite some time, even though it has always been on their ships. He’s obviously keeping the tree for something big, cause that’s what Oda does.
Woah! That's cool theory right there, and i agree. Big mom fruit will fit nami well. She's like a leader to the crew and a leader to the homies. Plus can control weather by putting a soul to fire, cloud, water, magma, ground and etc. pretty much a natural disaster class fruit.

Vivi: Nagi-Nagi no Mi. As a reference to the Alabasta Arc, because no matter how hard she tried no one could hear her voice. And honestly the potential of this fruit is great, like if she trained maybe she could choose to mute specific sounds, which would've been helpful in Alabasta, she could've muted all sound except for her voice.
I feel like if Robin weren't a devil fruit user, Sanji would benefit alot from it. In cooking he'd be able to make multiple arms to multitask for him like scaling fish, putting food in the oven/stove, and much more. In combat he'd be able to spawn freakishly large legs from the ground and on his enemy's bodies to kick them in their nuts.
I think you're underestimating Enel. He was extremaly skilled with his fruit. He had the whole island wiretapped, and was capable of sniping targets, that were conspiring against him. I think that goes well above "i can make big booms".

I'd give Sanji Ivankovs hormone fruit for multiple reasons, for Usopp I agree with Oda on the Pocket fruit, Nami would get Big Moms Soul Fruit, Franky gets the Castle fruit from Beji, Zoro gets a Tori fruit (model tbd) so he can get lost in new & interesting ways, Jimbe would get the swamp fruit because if he can't move in water he can be the water

I remember towards the beginning of Dressrosa when Luffy found out that the Mera Mera no Mi was up for grabs in the colloseum, and the first thing he did was offer to give it to Franky. I wonder how a logia would even work with his cyborg body. Would he be able to turn his mechanical parts into fire, or would it only be his organic body that gets the fruit's benefits?
@Nic TheCow but with franky its slightly different, if he eats the fruit its not his augmentations that ate the fruit so one or the other would have to receive the fruit, either whatever is left of his organic body or his cyborg augmentations. However in his case it could be possible that with the mera-mera no mi his organic body could become a power source and/or ammunition for his augmentations

His augments work seperately in their own way aside from his devil fruit and they seem to have been made in a way so that they synergize with his zoan and hybrid forms. You can argue that when queen discovered that his devil fruit could leave behind parts of his body and become a snake that he decided to add augments to his body to be able to protect it should he ever leave it behind in snake form

It requires much less time and resources and avoids rating problems if you characters dont always lose their clothes whenever they use their abilities. Whenever chopper goes into heavy point his clothes appear smaller on him because they are still the same size
Nami would still be a glass cannon even if she got a logia. At this point in the story, and in the New World, pretty much every serious opponent she would face would have some level of haki.
Yeah. But whenever they face a wave of fodder, her not getting killed by a random shrapnel part wouldn't feel like "ah thats a mc, dont think about it". Cause now, they can't even be in the vicinity of fights as air shockwave and terrain shrapnell would kill them. Getting haki for the weaker character would increade their self confidence by a whole lot. And it would make it so they can't be killed by random people. Like, imagine nami is walking through a city alone. Any regular joe could pass by her and stab her with a pocket knife. Thats it, she's dead. ----------- It'll reduce the number of thing that can kill them from 1 billion to a few 1000s. You have a lot less on yout mind to think about. Situations are way less stressful. You can focus on whats in front of you and ignore the smaller details.
I don't think the rest of the crew should have any devil fruits. Simply because it makes the crew weak to the sea. Although, if Nami got Enel's fruit she could supercharge Zeus in a moment making her stupid powerful. Combined with her afinity for weather, and you have yourself a veritable storm god among the straw hat ranks.

I think the idea for Sanji's fruit was that he can already move perfectly on ground, water and air, so undergroud is the only thing left for him to be mobile literally everywhere.

i don't think it would be a good idea from a writing perspective to give these guys devil fruits. Their whole characters revolve around Zoro using 3 swords and Sanji with his abnormal fighting style. And, they have both said several times that they aren't interested in devil fruits. And, who would save luffy if he were too fall into water (like always)?
Leaving Jinbei out made perfect sense to me. A fishman who could never go swimming again? That's probably what drove Vanderdecken insane. Cut off from his proper home, his whole underwater WORLD? Leaving him out wasn't racism, it was COMPASSION. And his fishman karate is DF-level ability already. Prove to me that someone with the Mizu Mizu no Mi (yes, a movie ref but still, indulge me) can do more than he can currently. Jimbei doesn't need a DF - he's already OP as hell. ^__^
From what I remember, Streusen's fruit, the Kuku Kuku no Mi, doesn't actually make bad tasting food. After all, he was seen eating the food he made himself with no indication it tasted bad. The only indication we get about its taste is from when Mama tastes it after her fall from the Chateau. If I remember correctly, she mentions that his ability makes good food but the sweets he makes with it are too bland for her tastes.
I would love to see the following scenario: the Straw Hats comes across a Devil fruit. Sanji, who’s read the book about Devil fruits recognizes it as one of possibly two different fruits. One with some awesome power that both Usopp and Nami (and possibly Sanji and Zoro as well) would want, and one who’s either useless or gives you some kind of serious disadvantage that no one wants. Then they have to decide whom should eat it. It could be both funny and interesting. And maybe they’d also have to try and prevent Luffy from eating it, because he thinks that it looks delicious and that they’re only trying to keep the yummie snack for themselves.
It would actually be cool to see the Strawhats OWNING a devil fruit. I would love to see what they would do with it. Many jokes would be possible with it. Ofc dont want any of them to eat it.
I honestly think Wapo's fruit would be great for Ussop but not as his fruit. His sling shot has shown the ability to eat and Ussop could combine the seeds from the bowing islands for combo attacks
My answer for usopp was the best. The guy who had boggers for bombs. Usopp has a huge nose so has unlimited ammunition, and has 100% accuracy. With slingshot
in regards to baby 5 style fruits, i always imagined they worked similarly to alchemy in FMA; the user needs to have a thorough understanding of said subject. so an axe or a pistol, being easier to educate yourself on the mechanics of, would be easily conjured by anyone. but say the weapon pluton or something crazy like that could only be manifested by someone with the knowledge of its composition. so franky having that devil fruit could potentially be one of the most destructive forces ever. (but again thats more my own head canon)
Ussop also goes well with Wapol's devil fruit , he can mix things to make something more powerful and it will also increase his eating capacity to give a tough competition to luffy.
It’s impossible. Zoro just needs strong swords which he’s rarely provided every now and then. Sanji is already strong enough with the suit. Why would they start over learning how to use a devil fruit and then there’s the awakening. Every sword wilder in one piece like rodger hawkin and odin doesn’t need a devil fruit to get stronger. Zoro just needs the strongest two swords just like hawkin have. Sanji needs to strengthen his leg haki. Nami and ussop really need strong devil fruits because they are lacking against emperors.
That's where 1 it's just a cool speculation video. And 2 you never know because yes all strong sword wielders can absolutely be amazing without powers but imagine them WITH powers as well as Sanji becoming even more of a threat in battle and being far more nimble or deadly with the added firepower (no pun intended) and 3 Usopp and Nami definitely are on the lower scale but that's where they don't shine being powerhouses but using their brains and teamwork to be able to stand against power houses like Kaido and Big Mom despite being powerless compared to them like Usopp in Frankys tank shooting big mom, may not have KOed her but it definitely does something and helps the main power houses that are Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Jimbei

Imagine being able to exorsize fishman karate on buildings or mountains. or the simple bullet water or spear wave, with way more heavy elements, I don't think its a far fetch to say that he could de-stabilise whole cities, or even islands
Here's the ones I'm thinking, with reasoning. Usopp: Either Absalom's invisibility fruit, or Viola's clairvoyance. Both would ridiculously buff him, while also helping him overcome his fear. I actually think the invisibility would do more for him as a character, even though Viola's is the obvious answer for the strongest known ability he could gain. Zoro: Zoro's honestly really hard to figure out what would best suit him power-wise, though I'm going to say the ones that come to mind are: Any logia of the Smoker style - Smoker's fruit, or any others that behave similarly. Giving Zoro additional flexibility would be incredibly strong. - Obviously both the "body made out of steel/sword" one, and baby 5's "become a weapon" one. - Interestingly enough, Luffy's ability could be incredibly strong on Zoro, as he'd gain insane range and be able to do one hell of a dragon twister. - I could also see him getting surprising use out of something like the kilo kilo or ton ton fruits, as they'd functionally allow him to just never be knocked back by anything. As far as sword-fruit combos go, I agree with the dragon sword, though I could also see some other interesting things work really well. Zoro would also obviously do insanely well with Law's fruit. For... many reasons. Not only is he a better swordsman, but he also has like, the most stamina of any character in the show other than maybe Ivankov. And it would allow him to "beat" enemies without killing them, helping him in situations like with Monet. Nami: Obviously the lightning one is super suiting AND strong, but I actually have some other thoughts that could be useful for her. - Clairvoyance would help her IMMENSELY at her role of navigator, as well as fulfilling her dream of creating the most accurate world map possible, AND would help her act as sort of the group's tactician and coordinator. - Some kind of other logia or similar elemental fruit like fire, water or just plain "humidity" would ridiculously benefit her combat abilities in ways that go beyond just the basic powers of the fruit, something that the lightning fruit wouldn't do. - Some sort of "wind" fruit would, well, obviously just be insane. Imagine always having the wind going the exact direction you want to go, being able to ward off weather, and being able to theoretically protect your ship by creating a hurricane who's eye is right around your ship just traveling with you. Talk about ending up being the #1 asset to the pirate king, right? Franky: ...honestly, I'm legitimately struggling to come up with any good options other than the ones already mentioned, aside from maybe something similar to the wax wax fruit but for like wood or steel. Jimbei: ...you'd honestly have to give him something absurdly overpowered for him to benefit from losing his swimming abilities. So... some unknown water type fruit, or some kind of admiral-tier logia, similar to Aokiji's in sheer power, or some other form of like Tier 1 or 0 power that hasn't been introduced yet. Or something like a "peace" fruit that allows him to just instantly make anyone friends, y'know, something that sort of fits his personality. even though again, would be absurdly overpowered. Sanji: ...Sanji's the easiest and hardest. Obviously, Ace's fire fruit makes sense. As does so many other fruits that have to do with cooking - Even the "turn your body into a sword" one makes sense, as he'd suddenly be able to cook without needing stuff like knives. However, Sanji could actually insanely benefit from a LOT of powers. Luffy's rubberness? Sanji fights with kicks, Luffy fights with kicks as well. Stretchiness would help him in the kitchen. The steel/sword one would theoretically allow him to turn his feet into blades. Almost any logia because logia are logia. Become the ultimate support/combo combatant and gain the time-time fruit, robin holds the enemy in place, sanji moves them a few seconds in the future, zoro cuts them in half, etc. - I kind of view Sanji as the "fastest" of the non-fruited, and with zoro being the strongest, you don't want it to be him with it. And the list just goes on and on and on - I honestly feel like Sanji could benefit from almost anything in some way or another. As far as characters with fruits already go, if they could either have a second or had a different one, without it significantly impacting them as a character. Luffy: Something that provided even more freedom - Kanjuro's, any sort of ridiculously high powered logia, or some sort of actually special shapeshifting or something like that fruit. - Something that sort of embodies his free spirit and imagination even more than rubber did. Chopper: Law's. Obviously. - And any other sort of healing fruit. Brook: Obviously some sort of magical music fruit. But he also practically already has that lol. Robin: "Calm calm" aka the silence fruit - Become more of a spy. "Clear Clear", aka invisibility, same reason. Clairvoyance. ...sort of the same reason. Honestly I feel like Robin kind of already has her best power out of known ones, and the only thing I could really see her getting notable use out of that has a combat use is maybe Doffy's string powers. Or maybe the inverse of that dude who becomes a jacket. Wear other people and disguise yourself as them. But then you'd be too close to the main ability of the best character in the series, so eh. I legitimately feel like robin's ability just perfectly fits her as a character, way more than most other characters' abilities do, other than maybe Doffy's and Ace's. (Even if I take serious issue with how ridiculously overpowered Doffy's abilities are because IT'S FREAKING STRING, STRING DOESN'T BLOCK RADIO WAVES OR CELL SIGNALS, it 100% fits him as a "puppetmaster".)
I have propositions for the last member that dont have a fruit, The Thousand Sunny here's some ideas: baby five or bege fruit to make it a mecha, the pocket fruit to make infinite room, a bird zoan to make it conscious able to talk with chopper and able to fly. Of course there is still the question if a ship with a devil fruit would sink or not, but if it doesn't then maybe it could actually get many fruit cause a ship is made with many part. what if u give a fruit to the head, one to the propulsor , one to the sail etc.. Potentially Pluton Power

I'm pretty sure during the dressrosa arc either Zoro or Sanji refused to eat ace devil fruit and if they have done so in the future it'd put their crew in danger being two of the 3 strongest in the crew. they've save luffy and their crew from drowning countless times. it'd be just Franky, ussop, nami and jenbei can save them from drowning. i don't think they will ever eat a devil fruit but gain further abilities or power.

I think zoro should have urouge’s devil fruit so that he can keep the focus on swordsmanship and just have a buff that gets stronger the more injured he is because he is constantly injured and sanji should have mrs double fingers fruit
This just hammers home the need to make new entries in the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia. Your proposed implementations of Devil Fruit powers are still super interesting. Plus, there’s just so much potential in the continuation of that series in its own right.
I would have imagined they'd find the snow snow fruit & an ancient zoan fruit. Let's say if yamato joined the straw hats she has a mythical zoan type while chopper has a standard zoan. Luffy, Robin & brook have paramecia df abilities. This would leaves room for an ancient zoan user & logia type of the crew manage to find those rare types of fruit. Unpopular opinion; if yamato joined I think a mink would make a great combatant aswell say carrot, adding 2 combatants with different abilities would make the crew more diverse in the way of fighting prowess, as Jimbei joined the crew they got a fish-man karate user 🤘

Imagin Nami have big mom's "soru soru no mi" she could use her own "zeus and prometheus" to use elements like fire, water/ice, wind, lightning that would be way better with her clima tact, she could use the clima tact to make zeus etc stronger or give them other abilitys with that. Nami could control the weather in some way that helps a lot in a fight AND with the ship She could use trees, stones or other stuff to help/protect her and others in any situation Also thing about Big mom's "life or death" the person need to fear her to be affected by this ability, what if this works for nami too BUT she could not only use it on people who fear her she could also use it on people who are attracted to her :'D
Speaking of Kid and franky, I wonder what kid's reaction would be like when he sees general franky for the first time. Strange feeling it would be the same as Usopp or Chopper on Fishman island.
That's what I thought ever since arabasta arc that one of the straw hats will definitely come in possession of a devil fruit but still no... and I don't think they will, even if someone comes in possession of a devil fruit to learn it properly it would take them years of practice so oda hurted my heart 😭
I think a devil fruit would grow on the tangerine tree on the sunny because it has been around for so long with no importance, also maybe they could feed the fruit to Usopps Kabuto
in my opinion: Sanji: Neko Neko no Mi, Model: Leopard (Cat-Cat Fruit Leopard Model) - would tremendously increase his speed and power + his durability + the insanely sharp claws he'll have is just overpowered all together with his fire powers Zoro: Bara Bara no Mi (Chop-Chop Fruit) - would probably become the greatest swordsman since he cannot get cut and also he could fly within a few meters to the ground and also chop his arms and head and attack his enemies from all angles Nami: Jiki Jiki no Mi (Magnet-Magnet Fruit) - i was really thinking of either this, or luffy's fruit (since she knows a lot about weather she could imagine powerful weather themed things), or yamato's fruit (to give her ice powers + the strength of a mythical zoan). but in the end i choose Kid's fruit because she often ends up fighting against a large amount of people with weapons and also if she looses her staff, she can just magnetise it back Usopp: Bomu Bomu no Mi (Bomb-Bomb Fruit) - honestly it was a hard decesion but i wouldn't choose a zoan for him and neither a logia since he isn't that much of a close range combat fighter, but i think with the bomb bomb fruit he could have an "impact dial" with him all the time and also knowing usopp he'd figure out tons of ways to use it as a weapon Franky: Gasha Gasha no Mi (Clank-Clank Fruit) - i cannot imagine how powerful he'd be with this and i think it's self explenatory Jimbei: Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon) - since Jimbei is a fishman, he'd loose his swimming ability which is crucial for his kit but i think it would be forgiving if he could fly + the insane durability and attack he'd have while turning into a bigger fish (a dragon ofc). also why i don't think sanji should get the mero mero no mi (ace's fruit) since if he already has fire powers, why would you give him a little bit more fire power? instead give him versatality yk? same reason why i wouldn't give enel's fruit to nami. and also she isn't a hand to hand combat style so logia types are slightly less efficient in her hands i believe. why i wouldn't give zoro mr.1's fruit is because he has swords that he doesn't really loose so why would he need the body of a blade? i think what i gave him makes way more sense but its just imo. also i feel like Franky doesn't need the Buki Buki no mi. yes it would be OP in his hands, but he can create whatever he wants without it in just a matter of seconds or minutes.
I would really really love to see Sanji with the Pika pika no mi (kizaru's devil fruit), with his current observation haki and germa's power slightly awakened. He will be unstopabble, like seriously.
Jinbei with the swim swim fruit would be insanely powerful. I imagine he could use his fishman karate abilities *much* more effeciently on land, throwing harder objects as easily as he would regular water.
I feel if onepiece wanted to go a darker route, Luffy would have by far one of the most dangerous fruits, along with some others. Devilfruits can be infused with items, so imagine infusing devilfruits to rubber bands and welding said rubber band to Luffy. He'd undergo tons of pain sure, but he has the means for quite the arsenal himself.
I’ve always thought it would be a fun idea for Nami to get Big Mom’s Soru Soru no mi. That way Nami could create her own unique homies to help her conquer the weather. It would also build on the gag of Nami scaring people when she gets angry because she’d be able to take their lifespan due to their fear of her.
Franky using devil fruit powers to create his weapons does feel like “cheating” to me, or at the very least it would sort of cheapen it. I think a better option for him would be a generation-type paramecia that he can use to fuel his weapons. If he can use cola, surely he could adapt his tech to use candy or mochi or whatever instead.
I think the most shocking part of this video was the reminder that after 1,000 episodes of the anime, none of Luffy's crew has eaten a fruit. How could that have been missed? One question I have is if any devil fruit can become a tangerine? There are devil fruits that look like bananas, strawberries, grapes, pineapples, pears, melons, kiwis, mushrooms, apples, lemons, oranges, and more... So could a banana-shaped devil fruit be reincarnated on a tangerine tree? Or would it have to be a tangerine-shaped devil fruit? I assume it would be the latter, as that would make for much better world-building and One Piece has some of the best world-building ever. So it would be interesting to figure out all the different tangerine-shaped devil fruits as a way to narrow down which would be spawned on the Thousand Sunny. I definitely think the next one needs to be Usopp, and it should be fruit from Nami's tree on the boat that gets used. There are enough people in the Kaido war with devil fruits that are getting killed that there should be at least one (maybe more) of them getting reincarnated there. Zoro's new sword would be an interesting choice as well since it does absorb haki, it might absorb a devil fruit. Sanji shouldn't get a devil fruit as he's the one most often saving Luffy when he falls in the water. Carrot would be fun to get a fruit too... I wonder if there is a carrot-shaped devil fruit? No way should Jimbe get a devil fruit. He's too capable in the water to ruin that.
I would just want zoro to have a powerful zoan honestly, the blade fruit is lame for him. Not only would zoan be a physical stats boost but he could awaken it and pretty much never go down or if he does, stay down. Hes already so powerful a zoan would just be an insane boost for him
If zoro can't get kaido's fruit, imagine a sword with the powers of a currently very-in-danger shogon. That is 8 swords for the price of one. And he can't even break it now like his other swords considering how very-not-dead orochi is
I’m surprised nobody considered giving sanji a fruit that protects his hands, allowing them to be used in combat. Perhaps the blade blade fruit? He’s good with knives as a chef after all
Ok the sword dragon thing is kinda confusing but imagine Zoro just having a floating sword dragon that can go from a sword to a dragon at will and will even return to him when he needs it
Though it'll never happen, since you can only have one at a time, the Gum Gum fruit would make more sense for Zoro. He'd be immune to things like bullets, but remain vulnerable to cuts, meaning you can't just snipe him and odds are you'd have to engage him with a blade, yourself, which is like jumping into a tank full of starving sharks.
