I would say Alvida’s Slip-Slip fruit could actually be quite powerful once awakened saying she makes the terrain around her slippery or “assign” slipperyness to someone like Kidd can with his Magnet powers.
I was surprised to see it here because of its immunity to almost anything, but then i remembered haki exists. though, you're right, an awakened slip-slip fruit sounds pretty good
The Kilo Kilo fruit has a decent amount of potential for a proper user. Being able to control your weight when used properly, could essentially give you incredibly physical capabilities. (absorb any hit without budging, increase the weight of your punches, jump incredibly high, and other agile maneuvers just to name a few). Seeing this power in it's awakened form might also be interesting. The ton-ton fruit is more one dimensional, but can make you even more of a tank. Perhaps on a naturally lighter and more agile person (instead of a fat dude) this fruit would be a bit better.
Seeing Kilo or Ton kind of reminds me of how Lemillion uses permeation, the ability was called useless, because if you became intangible, you would just fall through the ground, but actively switching which part of his body was intangible he made it incredibly powerful, apply that to Kilo or Ton (especialy ton) you make your hand lile 0.1 grams swing, and then swich it to a few tons and you have a King Kong Gun strength punch that takes literally 0 energy.
To be fair to the kilo-kilo fruit (and the ton-ton fruit) both abilities could be amazing with any sort of throwing or grappling fighting style like Judo. Those styles rely on weight distribution, so always being able to be heavier or lighter then the opponent depending on which is better at the time would be amazing. Plus, one could do things like increasing one’s weight mid-punch to get more power out of it, or decreasing one’s weight mid-dodge to dodge quicker. Miss Valentine was shown to be able to precisely tune her own weight with the fruit, so the terribleness of both fruits is just user error.
So any of the martial artists in the OP univverse would be much better users then Machvise and Miss Valentine, imagine Ideo with it , his punches already explode imagine them exploding while also making himself super heavy so the force of his punches is even greater.
Just imagine this this: A Dressrosa dwarf armed with the Pound-Pound fruit and a tiny lance, jumping around in a fight, sending himself through his foes like a bullet, and leaving huge holes in all of them.
Exactly. Imagine the likes of soru or skywalk if you weighed practically nothing as well. Plus you could walk around at full weight and by anime logic it could be like rock Lee or gokus gravity training.
The kilo kilo fruit was busted. Imagine someone like Sanji eating it. He could make himself light as a feather and dash around super fast, only to make his leg weigh a ton just before kicking you. Even in daily life, it's probably one of the best fruits. Imagine just being able to float whenever you want, that would make life way easier.
And with awakening, she’ll probably make other things float too provided it works that way. It’ll be the greatest power for a shopping spree in the mall

At sanjis current weight he can already fly great distances with sky walk like we saw in dressrosa, so if you took away what mass he has to deal with to fly anyway he’d probably turn into a space ship.
Well the most disgusting devil fruit in the one piece world would have to be the BETA BETA NO Mi. The reason is, this devil fruit produces and covers the user in snot from head to toe in snot that tastes disgusting then it looks. and eating this fruit, would be eating both the taste of eating rotten garbage with a huge splash of snot covering it. And that’s why I believe the BETA BETA NO MI would have to be the most disgusting devil fruit in the one piece world. And grosser of all, would u want to be called a sticky, or a snot man or woman until you die.

With the Hito Hito No Mi, it's less of a problem with the fruit itself and more with how you apply it. If you're a human and knowingly eat it, that's not the fruit's fault, but yours. Used correctly, this thing could turn you loyal pet into your top-build bodyguard.

Yeah honestly out of all the animals to turn into humans are for sure a top 5 option, I'd say it's better than all other non mythical zoan introduced in the series so far just as long as you are not a human already.

I think the Ton-Ton no mi (and Kilo Kilo No Mi), it REALLY depends on the user. Think of how Luffy would've used it. You can jump from a surface, reduce your weight to gain speed, and at the last second increase your weight to punch someone (Like Bellamy's fruit mechanics). He'd probably figure out a way to increase the weight of one limb and make his punches stronger (Probably yelling "Ton Ton No Hammer" or something). An awakened form would be essentially gravity control, being able to lift objects around him and swing them (Think of Uraraka's powers from MHA).

Plus, just think of any throwing or grappling styles like Judo, Wrestling, or Sumo Wrestling. The ability to precisely change one’s own weight would absolutely make those fighting styles much more powerful.
I feel like alvidas fruit is actually pretty good because not only are you presumed to be able to control the slipperiness, you’re basically immune to most attacks, and I still wonder if it’d be affected by haki, or if it doesn’t matter like buggy’s fruit, and not only that, but it’s confirmed to keep you skinny and have smooth skin forever. I’d probably take it
Alvida is skinny because the fruit made all the fat slip away from her body so it means that the fruit works not only on the things that might touch your skin but stud you already ingested. For all we know, she could also be immune to disease or poison.
It's weird how few devil fruits we have actually seen being eaten. I'd have to say the worst tasting based on what we've seen would be the Ope Ope no Mi. So disgusting that not only did Law need Corazan's help to chew and swallow it, it was so gross that Corazan didn't survive the experience. By comparison Luffy, Kalifa, Kaku and Sabo's going "eww" and sticking their tongues out is nothing.
I just thought of a possible POSSIBLE defense for the ton-ton fruit. If it increases body mass up to X Tons, then theoretically you could throw a punch, activate your fruit right before impact and essentially have a jab with the force of many many tons
I think the Hito Hito No Mi could actually be one of the strongest, and the solution to Big Mom's dream. The thing about all of Chopper's forms is that they are all different sizes of a human, with a twist that they have reindeer qualities. This Devil Fruit was able to turn a tiny reindeer into a large, extra-large, and monstrous-sized human/reindeer hybrid. It could be argued that if a human at the fruit, they could turn themselves into a giant as well. Big Mom had Ceaser Clown working on a way to turn humans into giants. Finding a way to duplicate the Hito Hito No Mi into a SMILE might be the way to turn humans into giants in accordance with her dream.
You can't turn into a giant, because they are another race. However there are still very very huge humans in one piece, like the Admirals, Doflamingo or Whitebeard. I mean they are kind of gigantic.

Many of even the objectively bad ones have immense gimmick value once awakened. Ato ato might potentially allow contactless use or various gimmick instagibs by transforming the earth below someone. Ori ori simply creating a bunch of hard objects and ranged interaction is already actual offensive and defensive value, but I'd assume awakening allows more saturation of space and sprouting them from wherever, if not also creating a harder material. Ton ton and kilo kilo would be immensely powerful with remote activation, and even touch activations on clothes would allow crushing someone. Significantly more gruesome if we consider localized effects, and how they affect pressure with the ratio of weight and area, like a single thread of someone's clothing. Mato mato has the potential to awaken to some extent of telekinesis, which is always a wormhole of dangerous gimmicks. Toge toge. Still not great, but remote or environmental activation would make it a lot less embarassingly bad. Sube sube isn't objectively bad, but making 4th place is a true wtf for close to invincibility defenses, and potential awakening to massive power. As evidenced by her ability to stand and interact with things, it has precise localized use. If able to use on other humans, it would completely disable enemies, while leaving them open to harm. Simply using it on the environment would allow selectively denying people from being able to stand or applying as much force to anything. Without friction to resist, any attacks from the ground would lack something to lever against. Jake jake activation on other people would make it an instant KO ability at the very least, and potentially allow some degree of possession over stronger fighters. Transforming a strong crew and distributing the jackets to your own might make it one of the highest potential fruits around, especially if you can stack devil fruit powers, or consider the absurdity of wearing a few layers of jackets.
You know with you talking about Kaku’s use of the Giraffe Fruit it makes the stuff we’ve been seeing with King and Queen pretty interesting because it shows Oda has been stretching the abilities of animals in one piece for a while, and makes their abilities seem less out of place.
Spring fruit being where it is makes sense, I always thought of it similar to luffy's gum gum fruit in the sense that it's only really any good at all because Bellamy himself is a beast physically. Like jumping high is great, but for most people it's also instant death. At best you end up landing on your springs and just accelerate more. Bellamy probably had to go through a lot of training to make his fruit useful.
The worst tasting fruit would probably be any zoan fruit that turned you into an animal with more advanced taste buds. As for the Axolotl fruit, I could see some potential from becoming a hybrid and taking advantage of axolotl DNA while being human enough to breathe air, like using it to regenerate like axolotls can.
Kin’emon could make a killing in the discount, formal clothing rental business. You’re probably only gonna wear it once, so you just slide your friendly neighborhood samurai a few bucks and you’re set with a tuxedo, gown, etc. for the evening. No returns, no need to worry about cleaning fees, just take it off and you’re done.
The Kilo Kilo no mi and Ton Ton no mi would actually be very powerful. But it's annoying that they never went further than just dropping on people. You could multiply the energy you hit somebody by a huge amount. You swing a pun h at a guy and before you hit him you become extremely heavy. Absolute damage multiplier that would have been cool if there was more creativity (by Oda) involved.
Yeah instead we just see people spamming Kirbys down B. There's a fantasy story where the mc has that ability and he uses it way more tactfully than onepiece shows possible
Also allows em to use giant weapons because strength doesn't help you that much if the thing you're holding weighs more than you every time you swing it the momentum would send you flying. Great book honestly

Oda seems to enjoy having the occasional uncreative Devil Fruit power user to offset all of the outside of the box uses of powers which would have been considered useless in the DC or Marvel Universes like Corazon or Dolflamingo (who would have likely found himself in the Legion of Super Heroes Auxiliary or something similar as Knitting Needler or Crochet Kid).
actually axolotyls can go on land if they finish reaching full maturity, on top of that, using the hybrid form would most likely give you both like a fishman and an axolotyl has an INSANE healing factor being able to literally overcome almost any damage or disease wich includes the destruction of the brain (with the accepting of a brainstem) and decapitation. Who knows, I've always been curious about what would happen if someone were to eat a fish fish fruit, its possible that as long as they enter in their full animal form they're ok and they cannot enter back into their human form until on land and completely dry
axolotls do not mature to go on land, that is salamanders and other amphibians. Axolotls are part of the amphibian family, but they cannot go on land unless something is done to them to morph them to be on land. "Morphing" is extremely painful for the axolotl and can even end in death for the axolotl. Do your research first.

I think everyone is missing the point that YOU ARE STILL HALF HUMAN. You could easily still walk and breath on land as a half Axolotl and make use of the regenerative properties.
The worst tasting devil fruit has to be Trebol’s Stick-Stick Fruit (Beta Beta no Mi). The abilities themselves are disgusting, I cannot imagine the fruit tastes any better 😹
The Mato Mato no mi would be pretty useful for assassination. Pose as a business man or diplomat, shake your target's hand, and then just throw random garbage from really far away.
Imagine an universe where chopper didn’t eat the hito hito no mi, but instead vegapunk ”fed” it to a teapot, and we would have an ”Teapot-human hybrid”
I think they underrate the weight gain fruits. I just imagine Sanji doing a spinkick and in the last point befor impact increasing his weight. Which would mean same speed as befor but with way higher dmg.
Yeah, they're nowhere near top-tier, but neither Machvise nor Miss Valentine made proper use of them. Floating by lowering your weight is a good use, but having an ultra-telegraphed "drop from the sky like a meteor" be your *only* attack is way too one-dimensional a way of fighting. It's odd that Lao G (an actual martial artist) never bothered to tell Machvise that he could benefit by simply punching people and maxing out his weight at the moment his fist connects. Or maybe Machvise was just too dumb and stubborn to take advice.
I will defend the Ton Ton Fruit and the Kilo kilo Fruit until the day I die. I genuinely think that they are two of the best fruits out there. Imagine making your arm super light, punching with it at incredible speeds and then making it as heavy as you can handle for an absolutely devastating impact. Imagine traveling as light as a feather, how fast that would be. Hell, Brook shows that DF users can run on water if they're light enough, so you can travel the entire world of One Piece without even a bicycle. Take that, Kuzan, with your line of ice.
I feel like the axolotl fruit gets a bad wrap for being aquatic, but I’d be willing to bet this fruit could’ve been used by someone like Rocks D. Xebec. The axolotl gets its name from the aztec god Xolotl, who was the god of fire, lightning, deformities, and death. Sounds like it could have evolutionary potential and might actually be the most overpowered fruit if used by a human. Axolotls can also grow back arms, legs, or even vital organs such as a heart or lungs fairly quickly. You could have multiple limbs kinda like dupli-arms from mha but with the advantage of armament haki. However, If you’re looking at its powers from a literal perspective, you go nearly blind and only have a few minutes to live on dry land before suffocating to death ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Given the nature of the devil fruits and the option for hybrids, there'd probably be some addendum where the axolotl user would not -NEED- to be in water to breathe; they'd just be exhausted on land in their normal form. Or hell, perhaps the fruit comes with the ability to breathe underwater, negating some of the "death by drowning" part of devil fruit weaknesses. Add the regeneration to that and you definitely have what is at least a good post-battle/injury recovery fruit.

Caesar had fed it to a slime made out of all the collected toxins that were choking the island, making said slime somewhat sapient & anthropomorphic. He killed the sapient slime (named "Smiley" I think?) at the end of the arc. The fruit was reincarnated in a nearby apple if I recall, then buried under the snow & debris left over after Caesar's lab was destroyed.
I would argue the Jacket fruit is one of the best. Just have a character like dragon eat the fruit and transform into a jacket. Then kaido will put on dragon. With the power of brains, brawn, and two dragons, the Jake Jake no mi will take over the world! 😂
I don't think anyone in their right mind would agree to be turned into a jacket. also it seems like the idea of turning into a jacket was copied from the idea that venom became Peter Parker/Spider-Man's Spidey suit.
The Tonton fruit could be so overpowered if anyone used it correctly. Imagine making your fist super light so that you can swing it really quickly and then right before the moment of impact you make it thousands of pounds it would keep the same velocity but the force would be way way bigger.
The TON-TON fruit could actually be OP depending on the user. Just take anybody who can use soru and air walk, make yourself extremely light so you can be WAY faster and essentially fly, blitz an opponent and then change your weight the moment before landing a blow (I wouldn’t be surprised if you could train yourself to isolate the weight gain/loss to specific body parts too), add armament and I’d say you got a pretty combat effective individual.
It could make Pro-wrestling viable in life-or-death struggles, as well. A leg drop could actually spell the target's doom like it is depicted in Kayfabe.
I have a theory about that the taste of each devil fruit depends on the ability that it gives,for example Luffy’s fruit would taste like rubber,Laws fruit would taste like a heart,this would explain why everyone thinks that ALL devil fruits taste bad but there are ones that also taste nice like Perospero’s fruit,I’m not sure about certain devil fruits like Buggy’s and Hancock’s though. With this theory in mind I believe that the devil fruit that tastes the worst would be Kalifa’s fruit because it would taste like soap

The interesting thing is that almost all of these are still amazing if used cleverly - the Baku Baku no Mi is a great example of just how far even a bunglenut like Wapol can go when the fruit is used well
You can be a hybrid human axolotl on land just fine, if the fishmen can do it then the midpoint transformation can too. It'd look either silly or terrifying but you can do it. Aaaaaand devil fruit uses can't swim but that doesn't necessarily mean the axolotl will drown, chopper doesn't turn back into a normal reindeer when in water and therefore the axolotl devil fruit user wouldn't either, they'd sink and walk on the bottom of the ocean which is pretty baller. Hito hito can still awaken too so it's not pointless. You can also give it to your dog and have a new and improved bestie.
I never saw this poll :'( I feel like the Ton Ton Fruit might be useful with better time invested into it. Like, you could make it so it can add weight to specific limbs. A ton punch, a ton kick, rather than just bodyslams. Possible awakening to add weight to anything you touch?
The Ton Ton can do much more, you can speed blitz someone, and at the last second dramatically increase your weight and thereby power. Light speed kick? Try mountain weight kick instead. The influence this concept has on all attacks is immense.
I agree and will also state this every time I see this fruit be so undervalued. It´s such an obvious way to use the power as well that I´m very confused why Oda just did the float up and drop down two times.

@Der Typ you're dumb 😂 1- You said "m*a" would need to apply in order for this to occur, but if "m*a" were to actually apply this would not work so you literally described something entirely opposite to how forces and momentum work. 2- It isn't about "m*a" *at all* since the original commenter talked about speed and mass which would not create force but kinetic energy. So yes, what he said is in line with the cartoonish logic of One Piece (because that's exactly how Luffy's powers work as well).
Yeah but you're much faster when you fall than when you run. Especially when we see the gravity of the One Piece world with people falling creating massive explosions.

The kilo-kilo/ton-ton fruit could be so much more if the user expanded on it's abilities just a bit. If the user could adjust the weight of individual body parts like luffy learned to apply gear second to a single body part they could do so many things. Instead of using Haki - Why not just have a fist that weighs as much as a giant? Why not both? Superspeed/Flight - By making a single part extremely heavy and letting go at the correct times you can force alot of otherwise impossible momentum thus allowing flight. You don't need to just float, you can fly. Impact absorption - Falling? If you weigh a couple ounces there won't be much force for your body to absorb and you'll basically come out unscathed. You could probably use air resistance to slow yourself down before you even hit anything but still. You could also make the part that they hit extremely heavy, so that the attack doesn't move that part as much and therefore does less damage/moves you less. Blood doping/bootleg gear second- You could make your blood lighter and thus easier to pump giving you somewhat increased physical abilities. Super effective calisthenics. This fruit is unexplored :(
Even if if the fruit allows full-body changes in weight rather than selectively making individual parts heavier or lighter, making yourself super-heavy at the exact moment your fist or foot is going to connect is *still* a better move than Machvise's ultra-telegraphed "drop from the sky" attack. So yeah, even if you assume the absolute *worst* about the Ton Ton no Mi's limits, any half-competent fighter should *still* be able to get more out of it than Machvise did.
Ori Ori no Mi is another one in the category I like to call "adult fun time" fruits. It has not a whole lot technical versatility, but more "adventurous" user with a willing partner can definitely get heck of a lot of fun out of it.
Spikes with armorment haki would be rather devastating, awakened the user could turn his surroundings into spikes. The spikes in awakened form could be used in defense and offense.
The worst tasting devil fruit would obviously be Moria’s Shadow Fruit, the essence of his overwhelming failure would definitely leave an aftertaste when the fruit reincarnates.
My case for the Jacket Fruit based main on speculation: I ranked this fruit 10/10, not because of what we saw it do, but instead what we could surmise it could do based on our knowledge of Devil Fruit awakening. What if, instead of turning yourself into a jacket for someone else to where and use their power, the awakening of this fruit COULD be that you can turn ANYONE ELSE if to the jacket, and wearing that jacket gives you their power. If this was the case this would be one of the best devil fruits in the series. Imagine turning Kaido into a jacket and getting his power, or even layering multiple jackets on top of each other!
it really just depends on what you think about a devil fruit you could essentially say the grandma marine from marineford had that as well and look how that turned out, im not even sure if it can awaken.
The worst tasting devil fruit is probably the Yami Yami no Mi. It's one of my personal favorite devil fruits, but considering its pure Darkness, I imagine it was also extremely bitter. Could explain why Blackbeard could eat those cherry pies that Luffy seemed to hate. His tastebuds were probably wrecked by the fruit and most other foods would taste monumentally better as a result.
I disagree with the Axolotl designation. From Arlong Park we know that being submerged in water does not negate your devil fruit powers -- it simply drains you of your power and ability to move. The sole reason Luffy survived Arlong park was that his submerged head could be stretched out of the water. So an Axolotl user thrown into the water could absolutely survive being submerged, they just couldn't move. It'd be identical to how Jack was able to survive being submerged because of his fishman origins. As for the fruit being unuseable on land, that's also inaccurate. Axolotls can survive on land, though their major issue with land survival is their oxygen requirements. They have some limited ways to breath conventionally, but without water for their gills they just slowly suffocate. You however could use your hybrid form just fine... because you still have human lungs. So while your full Axolotl form is almost entirely useless, your Hybrid form would work just fine. I think once you learn to make custom hybrid forms, the potential of this fruit actually rises quite substantially. Axolotls can not only regrow limbs, but even major organs, including missing parts of their brain. So a regeneration focused hybrid form would make you an exceptional tank in combat, and that's before factoring in a potential awakening as well for even more healing / stamina regen. The slime coating would also be useful, giving you a minor sube sube / beta beta like power set. Those were both on this bottom list too, so maybe that's not a big selling point for some, but I think any fruit that can even partially replicate other fruit abilities is not bottom tier. This fruit is fantastic if you're willing to play a brawler / front line role for your crew, or as a civilian, you're willing to do dangerous jobs. -- Also remember that Smiley was stuck on land, in Axolotl form, for three years and existed just fine. The fact they're animated poison makes that a bit more complicated, but unless we believe animated objects are immortal, then it stands to reason anything that'd kill the animal would 'kill' the object as well. So the fact Smiley survived that long would suggest, at least in my opinion, that the fruit's downside isn't the same as it might be if you were a land locked Axolotl in our world.
@@gokusamm Any time Chopper has been submerged he's remained in hybrid form as well. So there's precedent that while you're unable to use your powers, modifications to your body are retained. So if I was tossed in while human I'd drown, but if I was tossed in while hybrid or full axolotl I'd remain in those forms and still be able to breathe.

too add to your point though axolotles are eccentially in their larva state their whole life while still being able to reproduce, it can still actually evolve into a land lizzard through thyroxine or even just staying in oxygen for a longer ammount of time.
Honestly i love the axolotl fruit and the kilo fruit. I think the worse devilfruits come later on in OnePiece, one of which being the dango fruit which while able to tame animals and zoan users is pretty worthless when it can't be implemented into anything else like filling ones own or someone elses belly. The axolotl fruit might force you back into human when you're underwater but since Chopper isnt turned into a reindeer when he's submerged i think you'd still be able to stay an axolotl(Only not transform while submerged) so you could still breathe until someone saves you. It's ability to regenerate from damage is second only to the phoenix and the chop chop fruit. Your hybrid form would make you able to both breathe and walk on land because these forms take strengths from both forms. Heck lastly if you awaken it you're basicly deadpool that can master fishman karate. The kilo kilo no mi is more variable than the ton ton fruit because while you can't pack as much of a punch as easily you can still be heavy and you can be light enough to maneuver both super quickly and easily as Luffy and Brook. I mean Brook weighs more than a kilo, right? And he can run on water.
I feel like everyone is viewing Chopper's fruit through human eye filters. I feel like there's a lot of potential in giving some creatures or even objects the ability to become humanish. Liam, I don’t get your hate for the ton ton and kilo kilo no mi. They have so many more combat uses than just floating and slamming down. Amp up your mass right before your punch connects, or when your opponent tries to knock you away, reduce mass to reduce impacts. It would make you a giant’s worth of strength as a human just by changing mass at the right times
100% agree with you. Imagine if a competent fighter (even the skill of someone who wasn't even as skilled as a warlord) and they were a proficient user of basic armorer haki. That would make them really overpowered. They'd easily be on the level of a warlord if they were just a little competent
I thought of this, but that is only the case if you can change the weight of specific body parts. we have only seen full body wieght changes and have ne reason to believe otherwise
@@HiHello-rd5yh Specific body part doesn't matter. If you make your body 100 tons, your fist will still gain weight proportionally. May not be a 100 ton fist, but it's still gonna be massively disproportionate in strength.
I think the spring spring fruit is actually really good, sure its a less versatile version of Luffys, but the majority of people wouldn’t even be able to use the gomu gomu no mi to the effectiveness of Luffy. The spring spring fruit would be MUCH easier to use and thats why I think its a better fruit to pick then the gomu gomu

axalotl fruits seems pretty good actually regenerate limbs, the animal can also rebuild their jaws, spines, and even brains without any scarring. its like a nerfed version of orochi's fruit.
Since we're on the topic of devil fruits here's a query for you, since all devil fruit users seem to match the personality of their fruit and generally can use the abilities more effectively than say 'Steve From Accounting' would you say that a devil fruit is destined to be eaten by a certain person. Examples would be: Luffy who can tap the biggest potentials of a fruit that many wouldn't be able to and matches his bouncy personality. Doflamingo: He's a puppetmaster who enjoys controlling the world. Chopper: A reindeer who was different and more sophisticated than other deer and he used his knowledge gained to improve the potential of a fruit humans couldn't use theoretically. Ace/Ace 2.0: The exact same person with the same traits of carefreeness. Wapol: EAT Toni Toni Toaster: toast...
People forgot about the smile fruit, it does nothing but make u smile all the time. And you lose the ability to swim, and in a case like someone dies that was really close to you, you still smile.

It's the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu (Fish fish fruit, Model: Azure dragon). What this basically means is that Oda is putting dragons as a type of fish or at least a sea creature.
The Axolotl fruit can apparently function on land, though, if the giant poison gas monster was any indication. Even if I'm wrong, it's still a fruit that you can use, unlike the hito hito no mi, which has literally no effect on any human apart from the standard-issue curse.
You know, if you're forced to eat the whole fruit bit by bit, the Yami Yami no mi would probably be the worst, because the moment you unlock its abilities you also get it double damage factor. So not only is it already disgusting for being a devil fruit, its *Double Disgusting* on the second bite, potentially even too painful to swallow.

Woah hang on, the Tonne Tonne fruit has loads of great uses. Manipulating your weight (especially if you can target specific areas of you body) Would provide so much versatility!
Seems to me the axolotl fruit would be fine. You could still use the hybrid form which would allow you to breathe, and the fully axolotl form could be used for short spurts. So you basically get to be a fishman but on land only. Turning into full axolotl would let you become small and slippery for a short time which could be useful. Plus whatever abilities an axolotl has, such as regeneration as said in a below comment. When chopper sinks in water he becomes his hybrid form, not just a reindeer, so I imagine the same could happen here. So at the least if you fall in water, you could use your gills to stay alive for a long time until someone rescued you. Far better fruit than 2nd worst imo.
@@Mr.Monacle awakened axolotl fruit would be OP. You have base regeneration combined with that of an awakened zoan type. You could probably take on kaido with that if you wanted. Power is a given with awakened Zoans as well as size. This would make an invincible DF user
I feel like the tonne tonne fruit could be really powerful when it's awakened. Imagine being able to change the weight of everything around you in battle. You're moving too fast, well enjoy your 10-tonne jacket. You have better technical fighting skills, enjoy the ground under one of your feet floating up, throwing you off ballence.
IMO, after the creativity we saw with Gomu gomu no mi, and how it can create Gear 2, 3, 4, and the introduction of awakening, almost any fruit is haxxed if used correctly. Even this Jacket fruit could be insane if the user can somehow engulf people or the surroundings with anything or by forcefully "absorbing" people like Buu and gaining their powers in the process.
I heard it doesnt add your strength to theirs but if you can use their powers. Maybe you can engulf animals or multiple people, adding their added strengths to you or allow you to swap between.

I thought so, but having to have his body parts remain within a certain radius of his feet (quite a small radius at that) severely limits it's potential. That being said, an awakened version does have a lot of potential tbf.
The worst tasting Devil Fruit is probably Choppers. He's got reindeer taste buds AND he ate a fruit that turned him into a human hybrid. Bad tasting fruit + human problems like taxes, truly the worst taste of them all

His face was removed from history books because Newton hated the guy and had all his portraits burned. as for Hooke's law, F = -kx where F is spring force, k is the spring constant, and x is the springs compression or stretch. The character with that fruit could be so much more than a guy who bounces. He should easy be able to put a hole through people like Kaido, without any haki needed. As for a limiter, here is a quote from the bbc "The limit of proportionality refers to the point beyond which Hooke's law is no longer true when stretching a material. The elastic limit of a material is the furthest point it can be stretched or deformed while being able to return to its previous shape." So his limit is himself, like Luffie.

This is definitely an interesting list. Fun to see what all made the list. The mucus fruit I think would taste the worst. The idea of it tasting like mucus and not being yours, turns my stomach.
I'm really shocked to see Wapol/Baku Baku no mi on here. It seems like an insanely versatile power, Wapol seems to have no problem living with the drawbacks, even becoming insanely rich from the products of eating different materials to make his own alloy! The secondary drawback of eating all the time also seems to be supplanted by the fact that Wapol can eat and then reshape himself.
The awakened version of the 'Sara Sara No Mi, Model:Axolotl,' would more than likely be a fire breathing salamander, thus giving you another mythical Zoan type and another fruit that turns its user into a dragon.
And I really doubt that in the world of one piece that the effect of needing water would even exist. We saw the gas use it and it didn’t die until Caesar poisoned it
that was my thought too. make an innocent touch to your target, even a bump in the street, and suddenly that guy has all kind of (preferrably sharp) stuff flying at them out of nowhere, and even if they survive, no way they would know its you
@@sorsalala3906 you'd just end up marking the person you're trying to throw. And there's no evidence of being able to mark inanimate objects. From what we've seen with the devil fruit you touch a person with your hand then your hand essentially tracks the person till you mark someone else. You'd need to cover your hand to not lose a target as touching another person with the hand would overwrite the mark. That's why the Shirohoshi hand always had a glove on it.
The spring fruit is major underrated. People just take Bellamy’s moves as all it can do. You can turns you arms into springs and punch someone like luffy. The springs from how they look are made of metal so that’s amazing defensively. Metal definitely hurts more than a fist. You can use it to completely get rid of any falling damage and Bellamy really only uses it for mobility he really doesn’t use it to its full potential and mainly just to confuse and get behind his opponent. Also if the awakening works like doflamingos you can turn the ground into springs throwing people off balance and forcing them to bounce whenever they hit the ground leaving them in the air and defenseless.
To be fair, how I voted on this list was to evaluate not only how it was used in OP, but also how useful it would be to an average, non-battling npc town person, or at least out of battle.
There might be the possibility that you wouldn't die from using the axolotl-fruit. I mean, most people, at least when they transform into the mix form still contain a lot of their old human self. So there might be the possibility that if you only transform halfway you could still breath normally with a nose in addition to the gills. Finally one more saving grace (or even more doom) could be the ability to breath under water. Now hear me: When devil fruit users are under water they can no longer move, but they don't stop breathing or such. As could be seen in the fight between Arlong and Luffy. There his head could be dragged up so he can be revived and to keep breathing despite the rest of his body under water. So it could mean that under water with the axolotl abilities you would sink like a rock, but could breath until you hit the ground and get eaten by sea creature or starve. Maybe even worse. Might be the reason why Oda has rarely used fish based Zoan-fruits. But I am open for discussions or corrections in case I messed something up^^
Maybe I read a bad translation but I thought the Devil Fruit powers were only lost in seawater. There are multiple examples of Luffy in spas not loosing his powers. Couldn't she dominate in fresh water lakes?
@@travisbewley7084 in movie Z aokiji says it'd be dumb to try to fight with 4(ish) devil fruit users in a hotspring when nami was fighting the soap lady she says something along the lines of "you're very brave to be fighting me while having most of your body submerged in water" so we can assume that any kind of body of water, if big enough, can debilitate devil fruit users

I think the reason so many of use voted bellamy's devil fruit as one of the worst is pretty simple the mochi mochi no mi can do everything the gomu gomu no mi can do but better the gomu gomu no mi can do everything the spring spring fruit can but better mochi > rubber > spring literally the only thing bellamy's fruit can do, luffy's fruit can easily do as well (bounce/use the rubber to spring off) but it has access to way more abilities
Althought, isn't the way springs work is that they store energy, and then realese it when the source is removed? Could a person made of rubber get crushed, and then deliver a force equal to the crush just because of how their body works?
You could make the argument that that the axolotl fruit would give you a passive regeneration of great efficiency. But thinking about it this makes me wonder if there are other fruits with the same issue. Kaido has a mythic fish fruit so what do a regular fish fruit do for you
Question about the kilo kilo or ton ton fruit...couldnt changing weight make you good at ramming into things...like start light to pick up speed, go heavy just before impact of the person or an object, like a door?
Exactly my thoughts. With enough control you can hit enemies and increase the weight of your arm on the impact, or train while using your "heavy mode" to fight without it (Kinda like Rock Lee took his weights off)
I agree that those two are probably only useless because of their users' lack of skill and imagination. In the hands of a skilled martial artist that can use haki they'd be absolute top tier. Imagine getting punched by a 10 ton fist with the surface area of a fist sized fist. Or for that matter, punching someone who weighs a ton. It would be like punching... well, a ton of bricks. And someone who weighs next to nothing would be capable of moving at incredible speeds.
The beta beta no mi has to be the worst tasting fruit. Even if it wasn’t, you’d have to imagine the texture being similar to the mucus itself! Imagine eating a devil fruit sized raw oyster
I haven’t seen the show or read the manga, however if the Mato Mato No Mi only requires a small touch, I could see it having amazing potential for assassinations as its easy enough to bump into someone, apologize and walk away, in order to use the ability on them later
The worst Devil Fruit in One Piece will be the Smile Devil Fruit, due to the low chance of getting that Devil Fruit Power. The high chance of losing your ability to swim, laugh uncontrollable & losing your other emotions too.
I'm believe he ruled SMILE's out for that reason. Even if they got the powers, they are pretty pathetic Zoan's compared to the ancient and mythical monstrosities amongst Kaido's elite ranks.
Imagine if the ton ton fruit let you speed blitz and then at the last second increase the mass of your fist for example for mega punches. lots of the fruits on this list unironically are useful but used by 1 trick ponies
ok i am genuinely a little upset about the use of the ton ton/ kilo kilo fruit because there are so many better ways to use it than just jump up and slam down. for example you could throw a punch that hits with the force of a SEMI-TRUCK or just straight up bulldoze your ways through walls use an axe kick that hits like a ten ton hammer and so many more ways to use it better than just platforming boss attacks
U forgot the net net fruit,which abilities are to make a net out of what you eat,the nets are easily breakable and the user has to swallow metal to make a metal cage and it still hurts them when eating it
Vanders Fruit is THE Hitman Fruit. Get in touch with your target, and then kill them from far far away with a knife, a poison dart or something else. Nobody would suggest that some random dude, like a construction worker, your postman, a waiter or who ever is your future killer or that this said person is responsible for it. Especially in a World like One Piece, where you can just leave the Island. Nobody will be able to track you down.
I think the weight changing fruits are absurdly underrated. Imagine shifting your weight to 0lbs, throwing a punch, and mid-punch shifting your weight to max. That alone is ridiculously powerful, not to mention with armament haki. That's just one potential application
If you threw a punch that weighed 0kg, it's momentum would be zero, and based on the law of the conservation of momentum, when you shift your weight to max the momentum would stay the same, meaning your fist would just stop, and likely fall off due to gravity pulling it down
Fruits like the ton-ton or kilo-kilo would actually be pretty overpowered in the hands of a powerful and intelligent fighter. Keep in mind that increasing the weight of an impact also increases the force delivered. At its max power, the kilo-kilo can make the user weigh 10,000 kilograms (10 tons), and it seemingly does so without impacting their own ability to move. As such, someone like Sanji could take his incredible speed and use this fruit to amplify the force to such a degree that he could likely defeat most Yonko commanders at his current power level with little difficulty. The ton-ton fruit can make the user even heavier than the kilo-kilo (up to 10,000 tons), but I personally feel like the kilo-kilo is a more well-rounded fruit since it also allows the user to decrease their own weight as well which could allow for increased mobility up to and including literal flight (technically just gliding, but the albatross teach us that creatures can glide extremely fast). Someone who learns how to fly without a devil fruit, like Sanji, would be better off with the ton-ton, but kilo-kilo is the much more user-friendly alternative that I would actually really enjoy having.

I could see myself using its unique ability to decrease weight to get around places, while I have never personally needed to attack someone with the weight of a meteorite. Also, on the concept of power, here's a thought: the ton-ton has 1000x the max weight of the kilo-kilo, but does it necessarily do more damage? Math time: Using Sanji as an example, his normal weight is 80kg. The kilo-kilo can increase this to 10 tons (125x his original weight), meaning his kicks would be 125 times as powerful. The ton-ton fruit can increase to 10,000 tons, and therefore be 125,000 times as powerful. This is because weight scales linearly with the force delivered. Conversely, speed scales exponentially. By reducing his weight to 1kg and jumping with the same force, he could actually increase his speed. For example, if his lowered weight allowed him to travel 32 times faster, and he increased his weight to 10 tons just before impact, the attack would have 128,000 times its original force, even more than the ton-ton fruit is capable of. Using the calculation for acceleration (a=f/m), we can see that his max theoretical acceleration is 80 times his normal, which means he might be capable of upwards of 800,000 times his original power with perfect control over the kilo-kilo fruit. As a result, the kilo-kilo fruit could be up to 6.4 times as powerful as the ton-ton fruit in his hands. So even if you only look at destructive power, the ton-ton fruit technically loses.
5:25 To be fair: Hina just uses the fruit "wrong". She can _generate iron_ . That's incredible useful as a ressource. And the World Government surely has a big demand for weaponry, which are more often than not made by iron alloys.
Theory: For the final arc of one piece Sabo is taken prisoner and set to be executed (similar to Ace); Although this time Luffy (alongside the straw hats and allies) will be successful in saving him. Also dragon will be the place holder for Whitebeard in this arc, and the final battles will be Dragon vs Akainu and Luffy vs Blackbeard.
