This day was an odd job day around the farm. I planted some radishes, took some water samples, did some crop scouting, and fixed the old Ferguson cultivator.

I am a 5th generation family farmer from West-Central Minnesota. The recent interest in food, combined with a large amount of 'misinformation' has driven me to start this channel. I hope to be someone people can relate to and trust when they question how their food is grown and raised. I also hope to become a 'smarter' farmer through my experiences with this channel. I strongly believe we must have an open mind and a willingness to learn about others, or we cannot move forward as one. My goal is to build the connection between farmers and consumers by facilitating a collaborative conversation amongst everyone. I do this by sharing my day-to-day farming experiences, my opinions on certain topics, and occasionally visiting other farms and businesses to help better understand other farming and business practices. There is no limit to where this channel may go, so please join me!!

i've watched a few of your videos, and you've sucked me in. your content is one of the examples of what makes youtube and social media great for our society (where social media can also be pretty awful) because i get to learn about someone and something that i would otherwise never get to know anything about. i'll also give you props, for a guy who is a "farmer", you do a really great job with your editing, creating good cuts, adding some humor, and figuring out where fast motion works. and i love how you cut just little doses of family into your scenes as well. thanks for the content.

By far one of the best disclosure for sponsored content I've ever seen. I also love how you make kind of a joke out of advertising it later in the video. But that's how it should be: 1. Has to be said as one of the first things in the video 2. Has to be unmistakingly shown throughout the video 3. Has to not disturb or feel misplaced in the video itself Great job on your disclosure! Oh and I'm very late, I know but this is the thing that most youtubers, no matter what content they produce, just don't get done correctly

Zach, me boy, you've got to stop worrying about what the neighbors might think! I get a kick out of the fact that you wanted to test the ATV broadcast spreader in the back woods before you used it next to the road. Also, you're limiting yourself with the WD40. Did you know that it also kills brush on the road to the deer woods? And it works wonders on mosquitos! And if you spray it into the drain tiles, your water will definitely run faster. Also, if you shoot just a bit into your radio, it will help John Fogerty's voice not to sound so raspy! Lastly, no need to make the Friday night run to the local Booze-is-us store. Just take that stainless flexi-spout on a fresh can of WD40 and point it towards your mouth. I hear it tastes just like Coors! On second thought, you'd better stay away from the liquor store. If you spend too much time looking into a bottleneck next thing ya know you'll be forgetting to set the parking brakes on your trucks and things. Not good. Keep up the good work! Keith-

Our farm had a Ferguson 4 row cultivator it was used to also fertilize with ammonium nitrate It use boxes over the 40" row cotton. The farm grew 300 acres of irrigated cotton so must have taken a while to do that job back in the forties and fifties. By the time I was 8, I would us a 4 row knife sled behind a Ferguson to weed. Sure did beat hoeing by hand. I could have tested the water using reagents that I made up in the soils lab and the other 16 essential elements without machines like today. Farming sure have changed because now we can do rather that just wish!
