xplodingplastix If it's the dome around the explosion, then that is the pressure wave coming from the explosion.

xplodingplastix Seconding the Xplodingplastix observation at 1:15 . It's not the shock wave. It's something "firy else", directly above (and "almost before" the aparent ignition) . What is that?

It's actually a reflection. The shock wave isn't just pushing air away from the explosion but moisture aswell. That is the mirror image of the explosion before said moister is evaporated.

Are those transparent sound waves for real? I know that the sound from the explosion get concentrated, but not it became so clear. It almost look like an effect. Awesome if it's for real :)
