Today we are doing the firstpower up of the Odroid H4 Ultra computer from Hardkernel, having a look around the BIOS and testing power consumption.
I'm not employed by, or sponsored by any company mentioned in these videos, I'm just a fan of their products.

is the 15v power supply enough if you only use sata ssd or do you always need the 19v?

I have one Odroid H3+ with a single 2.5 SSD running off one of the 15V PSUs without problem.

Yes they really do enable a lot of possibilities.

Nice. I'm considering this. It's all Odroid here. But I don't believe the PSU does 1.3 watt on its own, there must be a mistake. I tried some random smaller PSU's here together, but I never saw the slightest milliwatt. It's important to me because I run SBCs on solar power, but there's always a dark cloud above me.

Even though the Odroid isn't "powered on" it's still consuming a small amount of power, if only to detect when you press the power button as these are momentary power switches. The little red led on the motherboard is a dead giveaway. The power supply itself, when connected to a computer, will also consume a small amount of power unless the PSU has a physical off switch. I too run computers off solar batteries.

@@custompchardware Yeah, I thought it might be that. I just misunderstood. Or I had to be sure nothing weird was going on.

I find it unusual that Intel's specification page for this CPU lists the maximum RAM as 16gb, yet these boards seem to accept more RAM than that.

Yes I found that odd too, but it's not the first board with an Intel CPU that can support more than Intel quote.

what size aluminum extrusion is that?

That's 10mm, specifically Makerbeam, although other manufacturers also do this size, it's fine for most of the computer frames.
