Old Dominion University communications major Madison is on track to accomplish her dream of being a TV news journalist. Through ODU’s internship program, Madison spent the summer of 2018 working at nearby WAVY-TV10. It wasn’t long before Madison was promoted from intern to full-time staff member. She is now one of the station’s newsroom assignment desk editors. The combination of classroom education and real world experience have given Madison the skills and confidence to advance in the field of journalism after graduation.
