My Odyssey of the Seas solo adventure begins today! Join me as we drive to Port Everglades and board one of the most technologically awesome ships we have ever sailed on. I just now (Dec 2023) stumbled onto your channel, and since I am thinking about going on my first cruise and am travelling solo, I was excited to see your video. I was thinking about how cute you are, how excited you were for this cruise, and your outward joy and enthusiasm was so much fun to watch. I just realized, however, that you lost a man named Sean. I don't know the reasons, and I will not pry into your personal life. But Stef, my heart goes out to you! You are courageous and I hope you have a great life going forward, as hard as it must be at times. I am 68 years old, never married, and never found that special someone in my life. My heart hurts for you. I know how hard it is being alone, but I hope for the very best for you. Thank you for a great video! I'm excited to book a voyage on the Odyssey now because of your positive attitude and hoping that I can be as strong a person as you.

I went on the Christmas cruise for Odyssey of the Seas last christmas, so about 10-11 months ago. Doesnt feel that long ago! But that cruise was my second cruise and im 15 now. The sad part is that, that was the cruise that odyssey wasnt allowed to get into the Cayman islands or the other place we went to (i forgot). So because of that i obtained a very bad mood and ruined the experience for the people i were with. Always feel bad about that. Next cruise i will make a commitment to do better :)

Steph you are amazing… I started watching your vlogs with your royal princess cruise. It was a Phathom cruise (sp) I got Hooked on your and Sean’s spirit of helping other people. After that I went back to day 1 of your vlogs. I lost my husband 7 years ago and the first time solo cruising was hard . It’s hard every time but not as hard as the first time.. keep cruising and smiling…

We are getting ready to book Odyssey, and I absolutely loved what you said: that it was a grown-up/adult ship. My husband and I sailed on Anthem and felt it was sophisticated and more grown up too. Just like you said. We know our kids will love it too because of Seaplex, but the other venues are fantastic.

Ok, I have got to tell you, you are such an amazing person!!! So bubbly, fun, bright. I am going on Odyssey on 4/17/2022 and CAN NOT WAIT!!! My husband is a nervous traveler so we try to do everything we can to make the 'getting there' part smooth. We purchased the Key and I can tell from your video that just the perks on embarkation day will be well worth the price. Seems like it will be such an easy smooth day. OMG I CAN"T WAIT!!!!

Thank you. Enjoyed watching. I also cruised solo (for the 1st time) in November-December 2021. It was a little anxiety-inducing. However, I did it. Just like you're doing it. I get you about all the feels doing something. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is a huge part of that. My parents honeymooned there, it was their last trip before he passed. Lost track of how many times I've visited. Love your energy and enthusiasm.

I'm the same as you when I'm driving. The music is going and singing is taking place. Next thing I know, I missed the exit. Lol it is an adventure! When you were having lunch. I was eating choc chip cookies. 😊. Love the balcony. I spend alot of time out there. Shrimp cocktail, my jam!!! Great video as always! Know that when you travel. You are never alone. Hehe, room tour complete! We usually included a room tour on day 1 vids. I didn’t do it on Mariner because we had already done it (and even in the same type of cabin). Sean would always open cabinets and things. This time I had to film twice. Once of me talking and then getting all the b-roll. I thought the cabin was huge. I haven’t been in a balcony in a while so that may have something to do with it, haha. Loved this ship so much! Thanks for watching and for all the love and support ❤️

“Wonder of the Seas” is Royal Caribbeans newest ship. Also the Largest ship in the world!! 😎 sailing out of Fort Lauderdale! We’re sailing on her March 25th.

When you said: “I had an interesting morning.” I thought: “Oh, no!” But you were calm and handled that well. I’d be prone to panic. Also, completely understand the panic in the chaos of embarkation. It’s probably my least favorite part, but embarkation day is so exciting! That Main Dining Room looked lovely- so light and airy! Many MDRs are kind of dark-maybe because the light is more flattering/romantic that way? Fantastic vlog; I look forward to the next one! Hugs!

We got on the day you got off. We loved the Music Hall. In the afternoon we played pool upstairs. The bartender there had been working for Royal for 20 years.

What a beautiful and uplifting video. I am inspired by you. I have booked my first solo cruise for Aug and my reason for cruising solo is unfortunately the same reason as yours. Hello, interesting that you thought the music in the dining room was really loud, bc it was no where near as loud as your overlay music. Sadly, I had to skip a lot bc of the music. Thank you for sharing your experience, so proud of you

The music in the dining room didn’t get picked up in the mic. It was really loud. Guess my mic is better than I thought, lol. I am still working on mixing the music correctly. I learn with every edit.

So glad to see you on another ship! Keep going, Stef! I have a question for you, since you do water slides (I love them!) and because I'm about to take my first solo cruise. What do you do with your stuff (phone, etc) when doing the water slides? Do I dare leave everything at a chair out of my sight? Thanks for any solo tips you can give!

Where are these slides located? At CocoCay I left my phone and carried my GoPro with me on the slides. Sean would never leave anything, anywhere. He had one of those around the neck pouches and kept that under his swim shirt. But again, it really depends on where you are. I would only leave something at Coco

@@seanandstef Oh, kind of forgot that little detail! I meant the water slides on the ship. I imagine I might have to look for a chair near the slide or just leave my phone, etc in the cabin while I do the slides. Never thought about how difficult the navigation of something simple like that would be!

Oh haha, I was thinking of an excursion. On the ship we don’t bring anything to the slides (unless they let us carry a GoPro). I don’t think leaving stuff would be bad. I would probably look around and see what I though and I would leave my phone and go enjoy the slides. Of course Sean would say no way, haha. He doesn’t trust people, lol
