@@jasonf6182 Really appreciate you watching! My goal was to make it easy as possible when instructions aren't included (at least when I bought it). And, it really isn't bad to do.
This is the only video I have found on how to do this. I think if you re-edit to make it as simple as possible. This video will explode within the next 5 years.
Appreciate you checking it out, yeah pretty new to making vids.. well until an edit gets made, I plan on making timestamps in the comments to navigate it much easier. 👍
^^I can second that. My illumination kit had been collecting dust for 2 years waiting to go on my 19 crosstrek. Today, I randomly decided to search again so thanks for this
I do like mine too, when I was looking, I wanted either Impreza or Crosstrek but in a limited like mine. The '23 looks like same layout with a few extra trim additions. Very nice 👍
@@ecabral24 Yes, that's the factory dimmer switch for all the instrument lighting. That new harness taps directly into it to dim these new under-dash lights with them.
Thanks for the video! Your instructions were straightforward. I wish these came in red. The other kit (part H701SFJ101) is red but according to the website it doesn't fit on my 2018 impreza.
I had to look up that part number you listed - far as "regular" Imprezas (as in not WRX/STI) it appears to be for the previous body style of Impreza which is 2016 and older, so I could see the mounting points and harnesses being different. I appreciate you checking out the video 👍 And yeah a red-light kit would match the Impreza models that have more red in the gauge cluster versus my Limited for instance.
I think there is a red kit, but the one I found was for the previous body Impreza (2016 and older). I wonder if someone aftermarket or otherwise has the LEDs themselves in different colors one could swap out
